Surrounded by extraordinary people, inspiring leaders, and world changing projects, you will do more and become more than you ever thought possible.Responsibilities: Identify areas for import/export process improvement and work with Trade Compliance & Logistics team for resolutionClassify Illumina products for export control purposes and act as AES administratorClassify Illumina products using USHTS for import clearanceSupport the logistics department with identification of potential cost savings in import/export processesIdentify and report to Sr. Manager any potential violations of trade compliance regulations and implement process improvements to mitigate riskSupport internal, external, and government-directed trade compliance audits and assessments and execute corrective action and training for Illumina and its business partnersSupport Illumina’s export activities through creation of export documentationAssist with the drive, development, and implementation of policies and procedures concerning US and international trade laws and principalsSupport supply chain security objectives to attain certification and validation of global initiatives (AEO, CTPAT, PIP)Provide oversight for 3rd party service providers to assure trade complianceInterpret INCOTERMS and provide advice to the businessAssist the Trade Compliance team with training to multiple departments and business unitsSupport roll out of new ERP system as SME in trade compliance and logistics, preference for SAP experienceRequirements: 8+ years import / export experience with focus on trade compliance and international logisticsPrevious experience with risk assessment and auditsSelf-starter with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and maintain flexibility in fast paced highly regulated environmentExperience with internal and external customs audit processes preferredStrong working knowledge of export controlAbility to communicate effectively to diverse groups involved in the import/export process: finance, logistics, marketing, sales, contracts, legalStrong working knowledge of global import/export processesListed responsibilities are an essential, but not exhaustive list, of the usual duties associated with the position. Changes to individual responsibilities may occur due to business needs.#LI-HYBRIDThe estimated base salary range for the Staff Global Analyst Export Control and Audit role based in the United States of America is: $94,600 - $141,800. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable salary range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
