Surrounded by extraordinary people, inspiring leaders, and world changing projects, you will do more and become more than you ever thought possible.Illumina has a great opportunity for an experienced Senior HRIS Analyst, People Technology interested in joining a fast-paced, high growth environment.  This role will report to the Associate Director, People Technology and be responsible for supporting multiple projects and programs globally for Human Resources and cross-functional groups.  This is an exciting time to join Illumina, with a strong technology roadmap ahead, we are committed to maximizing the Workday suite and are significantly investing into our system architecture.  You will partner closely with stakeholders in our People Operations, Compensation & Benefits, Recruiting and Payroll departments to define requirements for how we create an ecosystem of integrated products. In addition, this role will support designated HCM areas in Workday, such as Core HR, Benefits, Advanced Compensation, Time & Absence & Talent.Tasks & Responsibilities include:Provide support for Workday by working closely with the business teams to understand functional requirements, testing, and development of new features.Actively seek out opportunities for process improvement, automation, and enhancing the overall user experienceSupport bi-annual releases by tracking and presenting new features to business teams.Lead configuration in absence, benefits, compensation, HCM, payroll, and time trackingProvide and resolve Tier 2 case escalations while providing high quality and accurate solutions.Train HR users on new processes/functionality.Report writer expertise – Run ad-hoc and monthly HR reporting. Build calculated fields and custom reports.Audit HR data in Workday to ensure accuracy of employee data.Create EIBs and maintain inbound/outbound integrations.Provide subject matter expertise and plays a key role in influencing the HR Technology roadmap.Develop and manage core project deliverables including detailed scope and requirements, resource plans, project schedules, risk management plans, change control processes, decision/action/risk/change/issue logs, communication plans, test strategies and lessons learned.Facilitate clear and concise status updates for key project stakeholders including direct communications with project sponsors and steering committees.Escalate critical risks, issues, changes, problems, or delays to the project sponsor & HRIS leadership as needed.Provide subject matter expertise and leadership on People systems in the functional aspect of system design. Develop and articulate solution options that consider Illumina's technical landscape as well as incorporate user experience, scalability, security, and best practices. Provides scoping of complexity and effort for each option.Partner with the customers to develop test strategy, test scenarios/scripts, as well as execute systems/E2E testing in preparation for user acceptance testing.Job Requirements & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in one of the following:  Business Administration, I/O Psychology, Information Systems, or related field.3-5 years configuring and supporting Workday modules (Benefits, Recruiting, Time & Absence, Compensation).  Workday Pro Certifications preferred.Microsoft Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables and charts.Self-motivated, detailed and deadline orientedWillingness to learn and support multiple modules.Team oriented, showing a positive attitude and resilience.Ability to translate business needs into technical system requirements.Comfortable working with competing priorities.Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.Business Analyst experience creating and distributing reports & metrics.Experience working using Agile, Scrum and related principles and best practices is a plus.The estimated base salary range for the Senior HRIS Analyst role based in the United States of America is: $86,500 - $129,700. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable salary range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
