This role will turn survey data into information by building reports and dashboards, which enable data-driven business decisions. This role will uncover data-driven insights to better attract, develop, motivate, and retain our most important asset, our people. The ideal candidate is a seasoned, experienced professional with technical competencies to build and tailor reporting to organizational needs. The candidate should be able to resolve a wide range of complex issues in creative and effective ways. We believe that surveys and other employee listening methodologies are a critical source of insights that can help Illumina build high performing teams - they give us the ability to measure dimensions of employee sentiment and self-reported experience that often can’t be measured any other way. We’re looking for an innovative and results-driven expert to own our employee listening programs and use this powerful dataset to draw out meaningful insights about the employee experience at Illumina.Responsibilities: Surface survey data in intuitive dashboards for several audiences Compile, structure, and analyze HR data to produce insights and recommendations that may be used to inform business decisions and improve HR processes.Execute employee engagement surveys (known as iPulse).Provide training on how to use survey data and dashboard tools.Build and maintain Data visualization dashboards on key people analytic indicators with a level of business detail that enables consistent access and drill-downs into the data.Manage employee survey touch points at several key moments in the employee lifecycle (including: onboarding, Exits, engagement and more), ensuring that we gather insights at the moments that matter the most.Translate complex findings and data in a compelling and easy-to-understand narrative for audiences of all technical levels.Use perspectives from both theory and practice to create compelling insights from employee survey data, both independently and through collaboration with other People Analytics Team members and partners.Monitor historical and real-time performances of key metrics to detect and report anomalies.Communicate statistical analyses and results, along with implications, to technical and non-technical audiences.Demonstrate exceptional judgment and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive people data.Performs other duties as required.Listed responsibilities are an essential, but not exhaustive list, of the usual duties associated with the position. Changes to individual responsibilities may occur due to business needs.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in a related field (I/O Psychology, Business, Statistics, or Information Systems)3+ years of HR/People focused data analytics functional ownership.Experience manipulating and analyzing data sets to distill insights from data and convey findings to executive audiences.Experience in HR Operations and/or employee experience in a high tech/software company preferred.Experience analyzing employee engagement data within an employee engagement platform (Qualtrics XM, Visier, Peakon, Lattice)Experience with business systems analysis or data analytics / business intelligence requirements gathering.Proficient with Tableau, Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel & PowerPoint.Ability to handle ambiguity.HRIS experience a strong plus (Workday preferred).Experience working within a global organization or demonstrated ability to work and communicate with a diverse team.Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.All listed requirements are deemed as essential functions to this position; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodations for additional task and responsibilities.The estimated base salary range for the People Analytics Data Analyst (Employee Listening) role based in the United States of America is: $72,000 - $108,000. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable salary range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
