The roleThe Quality Engineer position at Illumina's distribution center for Europe, based in Eindhoven, involves providing quality support and leadership to the EHV site and peer and junior functions within the EMEA team. The role includes providing quality engineering support throughout the product life cycle, participating in investigations and ensuring appropriate documentation and communication of nonconformances, CAPA findings, risks, recommendations and outcomes. The role also involves support local and regional reviews of process performance, analyze and report on quality data, and work with internal customers to understand quality requirements.You will have a responsive, flexible and adaptable approach and work with high attention to detail and accuracy.Responsibilities will include:Provide quality support and leadership to the EHV site and peer and junior functions within the EMEA team.Provide quality engineering support throughout the product life cycle.Participate in investigations and ensure nonconformances, CAPA findings, risks, recommendations and outcomes are appropriate and are clearly documented and communicatedSupport local and regional reviews of process performance such as Complaint management, nonconformances and CAPA.Trend, analyze, and report on quality data in order to improve product and process.Working with internal customers in understanding Quality requirements.Analyzing and reporting outward correctly to both internal metrics and customer.Apply experience and knowledge of regulations and standards to manage risks and guide actions independentlyDevelop recommendations based on data analysisProvide management with status updates on assigned responsibilities and goals and escalate issues in a timely fashionOther such duties that may be determined by ManagementPreferred background, skills and experience:Experience applying quality regulations and standards (preferably, ISO 13485) and establishing quality systemsStrong analytical, problem solving and organizing skillsExperience in change control and failure investigationApplied experience with quality and statistical toolsExcellent attention to detail, well organized and able to work independently and as a teamExcellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsExperienced with failure investigations and failure report writing, trend analysisKnowledge and skills typically acquired through previous positions in fast-paced corporate environments which involved responsibility for similar workPreferred Experience/Education:Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experienceWhat can you expect?With Illumina you can expect a highly competitive salary accompanied by a market leading benefits package.
