The role will work closely with leaders from multiple functions including Segment Marketing, Regional Marketing, Sales, R&D, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Operations, and other functions to ensure that strategies are aligned across groups and with Illumina strategic imperatives. This role is responsible for rolling up the performance of the business and progress of ongoing development projects to senior leadership.Illumina Laboratory Services (ILS) is Illumina’s in-house CLIA / CAP accredited and ISO certified laboratory. ILS exists to accelerate the impact of genomics in human health by developing and running end to end assays, partnering with KOLs and customers to show market and/or clinical utility, and bridging the market to commercialization. Our team is driven to deliver high quality, cost-effective test results based on emerging markets and facilitate market adoption of Illumina technologies in oncology, reproductive health, and genetic disease testing.Responsibilities: Facilitate the development of strategic plan and service roadmap for ILS service franchises in Oncology, Reproductive Health and Genetic Disease Testing markets, in alignment with corporate strategic goals and mission.Develop positioning statements and differentiation value in collaboration with functions across the organizationBuild processes to capture, track and manage service requests, and report business metrics to the leadership teamHelp generate opportunity, manage approval, own contract negotiationResponsible for establishing short- and long-term sample and revenue forecastsResponsible for service portfolio managementLiaise with corporate partners and supporting them in interactions with existing and new customers in the field (e.g. key pharma partners..)Requirements: BS or higher degree in biotechnology or related field. MBA not necessary but preferredAt least 15 years of experience, with 7 years of management experience, and 7 years of product management experienceExperience with NGS markets and/or diagnostics product lines is strongly preferredKnowledge of global market/customers in each clinical/non-clinical space & pharma preferredStrong analytical skills and ability to tie detailed analysis to larger strategyRecord of leading cross-functional teams and ability to partner across business and development areas to deliver business results. Proven ability to build relationships based on trust and confidence with key stakeholders.The estimated base salary range for the Sr. Manager, Service Franchise Management, ILS Commercial Operations role based in the United States of America is: $149,600 - $224,400. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable salary range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
