This role will demand interaction with large scale enterprises at the CIO, IT Director and CISO level, as well as with technical staff within the security and IT organization.Responsibilities include the ability to establish strong business relationships at the executive level, advanced solution selling capabilities, conducting sales presentations, coordinating multiple resources within an account, while consistently and successfully closing business for Proofpoint.This role is Sydney based.Your day-to-dayFocus on developing Government accounts within Canberra.Working with Sales Management to meet and exceed your sales ARR targetsWork with System Engineers to prepare account strategies and plansCalling new prospects and delivering the Proofpoint propositionRecruiting, training and monitoring sales channel partnersDeveloping sales strategies to penetrate new accountsWorking with Marketing and other departments to further company’s strategyProviding accurate weekly sales forecastsDirect interaction with and development of large customer opportunities / accountsProviding customer feedback to Sales, Technical and Marketing ManagementDeliver strong operational excellence, to include forecast accuracy, SFDC pipeline development, etc.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Proofpoint’s competitive positioning in the marketplaceWhat you bring to the teamExcellent sales and negotiation skills, comfortable influencing at ‘C’ levelProven track record of meeting and exceeding bookings goals within the cybersecurity marketplace is a mustTrack record of hunting new accountsStrong business acumen, to understand the cyber security threat landscape, and become the trusted advisor of the CISOCapacity to work with channel partnersAbility to work within a fast-paced environmentMust be a self-starter with the ability to work independently or in a team environmentAbility to use SFDC, pricing and other on-line tools effectivelyGood planning and organizational skillsGood communication skills: speaking, writing, formal presentationAbility to work independently, ability to adapt quickly, positive attitudeBachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred, but not essentialWhy ProofpointAs a customer focused and driven-to-win organization with leading edge products, there are many exciting reasons to join the Proofpoint team.
