You will be responsible for directing our sales staff, owning and implementing the Go-To-Market plan, developing new business and expanding existing business. The role reports to the VP of APJ. The ideal candidate has a track record of beating revenue targets, leading a team of exceptional Cyber sales professionals and thrives on mentorship and working deals with their direct reports. This person needs to be an expert at positioning business value, selling enterprise Cloud solutions, managing complex sales cycles, and building relationships with key, executive stakeholders. The position will be responsible for building the sales plan for achieving a bookings quota target, managing the sales forecasting process, and coaching the team of business development and sales professionals to achieve and exceed the target quota.Your day-to-day Drive Revenue Success: Own and exceed monthly Country sales targetsBuild and Implement Strategic Plans: Develop and execute evolving revenue plansCreate Trust-Based Relationships: Partner with partners and customers for the long termDistil Customer Needs and Value: Understand the business needs and objectives of the marketRead the Market: Understand category-specific landscapes and trends, reporting on the forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accountsBuild and Manage the A-Team: Hire and manage a growing team of sales executives, coach them via joint selling and regular pipeline reviewsCreate Revenue Predictability: Produce weekly forecasts based on pipeline trends and deal assessmentsPartner with Marketing: Contribute to top-of-funnel outreach efforts, target acquisition, and nurture campaignsWhat you bring to the teamSeasoned (8+ years) high-growth enterprise software sales executive with Director-level tenure in Cyber SecurityTrack-record of sales success in JapanIn-depth knowledge of how security is positioned and sold to IT executives within the Enterprise and Mid-Enterprise sectorExcellent C-level communication skillsExperience in leadership roles in developing and managing new sales organizations and building a team of successful Security, Cloud, or SaaS sales professionals.Must be knowledgeable in and passionate about Cyber security technologiesProven leadership ability to influence, develop, and empower employees to achieve objectives with a team approachProven expertise with teaching, coaching, and training sales methodologiesExperience in territory management and planning at the regional, national and account levelsContract negotiation and deal forecasting experienceStrong written, verbal, presentation, and organizational skills required, able to articulate and evangelize the value of the Proofpoint productsWilling to travel across the APJ region and beyond as neededBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience #LI-PC1If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!
