This individual will be an integral part of the corporate accounting team. This will be a good opportunity that will allow for career growth as the Company continues to expand!This role will report to the Sr. Accounting Supervisor. It will have general ledger responsibilities including, but not limited to accounting for Cash, Sales & Marketing, Prepaids, Inter-company and various accruals that impact Month-end, Quarter-end, and Year-end close procedures. In addition, active participation in ad hoc Fin-IT projects and UAT testing will be required. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who takes initiatives, is expected to be an excellent communicator, will have the required experience, and be motivated to work in all these areasJob RequirementsPerform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures for assigned accounts and cost centers, Prepare Journal entries and account reconciliations with focus on accounting for Marketing expenses and related accrualsPrepare Prepaid schedules and relevant backup supportPrepare various balance sheet and income statement fluctuation analysis on a monthly and quarterly basis for management reportingPerform Cash analysis and prepare weekly cash reports for management reportingCollaborate with Finance team to ensure close alignment to budget vs. actualsCollaborate with Procurement, review of Purchase requisitions to ensure all accounting standards are metAssist with KPI, metrics and analysis in various areas, including process analysis and system improvement projectsAssist with process improvement projects in process design, discovery, and testingAssist with PBCs and perform internal control activities to meet SOX requirements in areas of responsibilitiesOther ad hoc projects as requiredQualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting Demonstrate excellent working knowledge of US GAAPStrong analytical, effective organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively among finance organization and cross functional teamsMinimum of 5 years of general accounting experience in industry or a public accounting firmCPA is a plusProficient with MS Office tools.
