Senior/Principal Cloud Architect

Job DescriptionWhere you’ll work: anywhere within Germany or HungaryAbout the role:This new team member will work on our policies and best practices whether it is defining or refining them, but also get their hands dirty building POCs or implementing solutions. The main focus is on cloud governance and FinOps, making sure that our infrastructure is optimized and runs efficiently while not sacrificing security. The ideal candidate not only has experience in the public cloud space, but also has a strong affinity for automation and Infrastructure as Code. Your Day to DayAs a Senior/Principal Cloud Architect , you would be working on:Establish, refine and share architecture design principles, optimization strategies, process engineering and best practicesProvide architectural governance and design consulting to stakeholders in the Engineering organization and Product Development Teams (Design, Consulting, POCs, etc.)Partner with Finance to create and review cloud investment strategies, help build cost allocation and analysis, charge-back and show-back for all Cloud servicesForm strategy and participate in execution in the cloud governance space from the aspect of cost, security and IAMEvaluate new cloud technologies and capabilities, plan and help adoptionAutomate governance tasksPartner with Security, Operations and Product DevOps teams to ensure alignment between best practices, compliance obligations and implementationWhat We’re Looking ForAs a Senior/Principal Cloud Architect, your background will look like:5+ years of experience as an Enterprise or Cloud Architect with at least 4 years direct experience in a cloud or hybrid environmentDeep technical understanding of hybrid cloud architectures in at least one of the major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI)Architecture leadership experience in at least one technology domain across the infrastructure stackExcellent communicator, ability to engage with, present to and influence at every level of the organizationAbility to work independently in a geographically diverse team; comfortable working remotelyDeeply analytical and creative thinker with the ability to balance engineering and best practice designDemonstrated proficiency with cloud migration techniques; re-host, re-platform, refactorStrong experience in Process AutomationNice to have:Cloud financial management experience, FinOps experienceExperience in multi cloud environmentYou’ll be working towards a shared goal with an open-minded and cohesive team that is very much the sum of its parts.
