This includes our underlying Commerce and Subscriptions platform.What you'll do We are looking for a dedicated, passionate engineer who is interested in building the next generation of blazingly fast, always-available cloud-based services for subscription management and purchasing, handling all kinds of products, plans, promotions, payment methods, and geographies. You will deliver critical services to be used by a variety of clients, enabling flexible and rapidly optimizable purchase workflows. We are building the next generation of commerce platform to handle the life cycle of subscriptions for all Adobe’s customers. We need someone who can develop robust, secure, scalable back-end web services, and is not opposed to dabbling in front-end or full-stack development as well.Building cloud-based services for commerce platform.Designing services that scale: multi-region, caching, and asynchronous processing.Deliver critical components and services to be used by a variety of clients, enabling flexible and highly available commerce workflows.Participating in all aspects of software development activities, including design, coding, code review, unit/integration testing, bug fixing, and code/API documentation.Fast prototyping of ideas and concepts and researching the latest industry trends.Contribute to the improvement of the continuous integration and delivery of products.What you need to succeed BS in Computer Science or a related field of study. Masters level degree preferred, or equivalent business experience.5+ years of experience programming in Java, C++, and/or PythonStrong experience building Microservices and RESTful Web Services.Fluency in SQL and NoSQL datastores and data access patterns and strategies.Proficient in object-oriented analysis and design.Experience with building REST APIs.Knowledgeable of secure, scalable, and highly available service development practices.Experience in Frontend technologies like Javascript, HTML5, CSS3, and frameworks such as ReactJS is a plus.Previous experience in commerce is a plus.Experience working with the core Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Docker and Kafka is a plus.Previous experience with AWS, Splunk and New Relic is a plus.Proven track record to develop robust, efficient, high-quality code.Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems using appropriate tools and techniques.Experience with modern development practices in testing, version control, and Agile.Sense of urgency, and ownership, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $101,500 -- $194,300 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
