We are looking for an Engineer to implement cutting-edge web applications using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). The ideal candidate for this position loves writing code, is passionate about the web, and about finding success through a cooperative team culture. What you’ll doCollaborate with cross-functional teams including Business owners, product management, product teams, IT, and vendors.Lead software projects, including defining, assigning, providing technical guidance and monitoring of work performed. Interface directly with customers to understand software issues and provide innovative solutions. Research tools, technologies and software development processes and propose innovative, leading-edge solutions. Collaborate with other team members and contributors to the code base to properly understand problems being faced and to arrive at the best possible solutions. Deliver development assignments as specified and within the project schedule deadlines.Act as a custodian for the shared codebase, reviewing contributions made by other teams to ensure that proper tests are written, established conventions are followed, and backwards compatibility is maintained. What you need to succeedMajor in software engineering or computer science with a BS degree and 3-5+ years of working experienceExperience with Java and server-side development requiredExperience with AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) requiredExperience with the open source foundations behind Adobe Experience Manager, including Apache Sling, Apache Maven, JCR, and OSGi.Experience with Enterprise Content Management systemsExperience with modern front-end frameworks and preprocessors (Node.js, React, Underscore, Bootstrap, Webpack, LESS, etc)Knowledge of semantic markup and standard methodologies for search engine optimizationExperience administering and debugging of Web serversExperience with source control management (ideally using Git/GitHub)Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM development practicesAbility to work on contending priorities and adapt to changes in project scopeStrong communication skills, enabling work with remote teams and vendorsMaking our technology accessible to all We believe everyone should have equal access to technology and its benefits. The U.S. pay range for this position is $92,100 -- $161,000 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.  Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
