We realize that new ideas can come from everywhere in the organization, and we know the next big idea could be yours!The Opportunity We are looking for a dedicated and passionate engineer who is interested in building the next generation of blazingly fast, always-available cloud-based services for subscription management and purchasing, covering a wide variety of products, plans, promotions, purchase methods, and geographies, for Creative Cloud, Document Cloud, and a host of other Adobe products and services. This also includes data experimentation and analysis required for these cloud-based services. You will deliver critical services to be used by a variety of clients, enabling flexible and highly scalable subscription workflows. If you are passionate about writing high-quality code, are genuinely interested in building highly scalable and reliable services, and are fascinated by Micro-services Architecture, then this would be a great opportunity for you.What you'll do Participate and lead aspects of software development activities including design, coding, code review, unit-testing, integration testing, and bug fixing.Own designs that have high impact on the fundamental architecture of our platform.Drive cross-team technical discussions that synthesize diverse points of view to ensure a superb end-to-end user experience for our customers.Collaborate and provide guidance to team members to build a scalable and high-performance solution with low operational overhead.Fast prototyping of ideas and concepts and researching the latest industry trends.Build features that make improve our platform and make our products easier to use. We're constantly experimenting with how to improve our products to benefit our users, and you'll help track metrics and formulate ideas to improve and increase adoption.Perform analysis and experimentation for the data flowing through different systems/servicesBuild a data consistency and validation feature in delivering high-quality data.What you need to succeed BS in Computer Science or related field of study. Masters level degree preferred, or equivalent business experience.10+ years of experience programming in Java, C++ and/or PythonExcellent experience in web server technologies: HTTP servers, caching, proxies, load balancers, REST APIs and Microservices.Expertise in SQL and NoSQL datastores and data access patterns and strategies. Proficiency with Apache Cassandra a plus.Proficiency in object-oriented analysis and design.Knowledgeable of secure, scalable, and highly available service development practices. Good practical understanding of architectural patterns.Previous experience in commerce and subscriptions is a plus.Proven track record to develop robust, efficient, high-quality code.Experience in resolving system problems of high complexity and refactoring sophisticated areas of code.Experience with modern development practices in testing, version control, Agile.Self-directed with high degree of ownership and thrives in a fast-paced environment.Experience mentoring others on programming and design skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $146,400 -- $275,000 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.  Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
