As we engage the future generation of creators, this role will have a front row seat in influencing some of the most pressing privacy issues of the moment.What you'll doCoordinate and help drive cross-stakeholder alignment regarding privacy and data protection on all matters related to global children’s privacy and student data privacy laws.Partner with Adobe’s Education, engineering, product, and marketing teams to develop and maintain applicable policies, standards, and practices.Conduct privacy reviews of new and innovative tools and technologies that will be used in schools and by younger users.Act as subject matter authority for our public policy and government relations teams on matters related to student and children’s privacy.Proactively implement changes to processes and procedures in anticipation of regulatory and business developments.Build, refine and scale all aspects of Adobe's privacy compliance program with a special focus on students and younger users.Work closely with our EU and international teams to track, plan for, and align with global laws impacting privacy matters for students and younger users.Respond to internal and external privacy inquiries.Minimum qualificationsJ.D. degree and membership in at least one state bar.Minimum 3+ years of relevant privacy experience, including prior in-house, government, or law firm experience.Familiarity with children’s and student privacy law, including U.S. state student privacy laws, COPPA, FERPA, the UK’s Age-Appropriate Design Code, and other similar requirements.Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.Understanding of and curiosity about technology products used in classrooms.Strategic problem solver with excellent legal and business judgment.Exceptional interpersonal skills with a great sense of humor and dedication to integrity.Experience working collaboratively and successfully with cross-functional teams.Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $110,600 -- $212,300 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.  Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
