The team works with senior management and product leaders to understand strategic priorities and works towards solving them through internal or external allocation of capital and resources, business partnerships, joint ventures and investments. This is a unique opportunity to work on a high-impact workstream situated at the nexus of product, engineering, people, and broader strategic efforts at TTD. The opportunity will see you working on a variety of projects related to long term strategy and planning, optimal capital allocation, transactions, partnerships and investments.We are looking for a high performing Manager to support the team with diligence, evaluating businesses from a critical eye, financial modeling, legal document reading and negotiations, project management and presentation of critical data necessary for evaluating and consummating transactions. The ideal candidate has proven experience working in corporate development in a high growth technology environment, is a self-starter who possesses exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, is highly collaborative, and communicates findings confidently and articulately to a wide range of stakeholders.WHAT YOU'LL DO:Collaborate with product and business leaders to think about corporate development opportunities in a systematic and routine fashion; keep an ongoing flow of ideas that is aligned with the Company’s objectives and valuesCollaborate across functions to support the annual business planning processes and ensure that long-term strategies are woven into actionable annual and long range plansCoordinate cross functional exploratory and execution teams to analyze products, people and technologies that fit within the Trade Desk long term strategyDevelop acquisition business case analyses, interfacing with finance, accounting, legal, tax, HR and other departments to ensure seamless deal executionManage operational and financial integration workstreams for acquired businesses, including leading cross-departmental teams and measuring ongoing successCritically analyze all opportunities for fit within TTD and impact on the broader advertising technology ecosystemDevelop deep and trusted relationships with internal stakeholders, external companies, VCs, sponsors and investment banks active in the spaceWHO YOU ARE:BA/BS degree in finance, accounting, economics or an applicable field; JD / MBA from a top-tier institution or equivalent experience preferred8+ years of experience in corporate development and strategy, investment banking, private equity, and/or venture capitalCritical thinking – ability to look through investment highlights to deeply understand and communicate underlying technologies and market positions, and to highlight risks and benefits to TTD and the wider ecosystemDeep understanding of advertising technology and/or software markets, trends, and dynamicsProven subject matter expertise in all aspects of the M&A process including diligence, diligence coordination internally and externally, valuation, deal structuring, negotiation, execution of deals, and integration planningAbility to manage multiple simultaneous high-priority projects (often including project management of cross-functional teams)Strong understanding of corporate finance and accounting conceptsProven track record of building financial models and ad hoc analyses to distill complex problems into digestible insightsExcellent communicator (both written and verbal) with experience in building relationships across teams, presenting insights and recommendations to senior management and business leadersTenacity to develop ideas independently and strong business sense, with the ability to understand changing industry forces and focus on relevant KPIsAbility to thrive in a high growth and entrepreneurial environment where strong project management skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities are a mustHigh personal and professional integrity with can-do attitude to dig into anything and everything to support the business#LI-SM1Our Compensation and Benefits ( for NY, CO, CA, and WA residents only)At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range.  The base salary range for this role is $96,500 -$176,900In accordance with NY, CO, CA, and WA law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role.  The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location.  All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions.  Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year.  Employees can also purchase The Trade Desk stock at a discount through The Trade Desk’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
