The Trade Desk is forming a new ERM function, which has been partnered with the SOX program, and control testing will begin transitioning to an in-house activity.The Sr. Analyst, SOX position is a hybrid role and will primarily work in the Company’s SOX financial controls program while also assisting with risk management projects on an ad-hoc basis.This role reports up to the SOX Manager and assists with control maintenance, testing, enhancement, and remediation. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge and experience in the areas of SOX financial controls in a highly complex internally developed technology environment. Other success factors for this role include being comfortable with change, being resourceful, and exhibiting professional curiosity. The Sr. Analyst, SOX/ERM, works as an individual contributor and collaborates with other stakeholders (e.g., stakeholders within the organization, external third-party consultants, external auditors, etc.).What you'll do:Perform control testing throughout the year, ensuring that the testing plan is executed timely while working closely with the Company’s external SOX consulting firm.Prepare and monitor PBC requests (supporting documents for controls testing).Assist with the company’s ERM program & framework activities such as risk assessments, risk documentation and reporting, data analytics to derive risk insights, interface with the Risk & Controls modules of the company’s GRC platform, research of industry developments and trends, and their impact on the business, etc.Liaise with both internal and external teams in the performance of SOX compliance activities, ensuring process and control enhancements or deficiencies are identified, tracked, and resolved.Work with all financial control owners to identify, document, and certify internal controls. This includes the development and review of control descriptions, process narratives, process flowcharts, and key reports.Participate in walkthroughs with both internal stakeholders within the organization and external auditors.Identify recommendations and work with control owners to implement process improvements, while utilizing automation tools to ensure compliance, drive sustainability and continuously improve the Company’s SOX compliance initiatives.Obtain SOC1 reports from the relevant service organizations and relevant sub-service organizations and assess implications on the company’s internal control environment and ability to rely on third-party information.Who you are:Insert content BS or BA in relevant field (e.g., Economics, Accounting & Finance, etc.). Relevant certifications such as CPA, CISSP, CISM, CISA or CIA would be a plus.2+ years of relevant experience in (e.g., Accounting & Finance, Advisory, Consulting, etc.), preferably from public accounting (Big 4) firms and/or industry experience with a highly complex internally developed technology company, demonstrating proficiency with issues that are typical for technology companies with a complex IT environment.Experience with Sarbanes Oxley, PCAOB requirements, and COSO Frameworks (Internal Controls, ERM).Experience utilizing automation tools and organizing complex data to drive process improvements.Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently and see tasks/projects through to completion, meet deadlines and escalate matters, if needed.Ability to make effective and independent judgments, including the ability to develop creative solutions to difficult problems.Ability to juggle multiple high priorities in a fast-paced environment and have a willingness to learn.Outstanding communication skills – including written and verbal communications, interpersonal, analytical, negotiating, and problem-solving skills; proven ability to work cross-functionally. #LI-LM2Our Compensation and Benefits ( for NY, CO, CA, and WA residents only)At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range.  The base salary range for this role is $49,500 -$90,700In accordance with NY, CO, CA, and WA law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role.  The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location.  All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions.  Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year.  Employees can also purchase The Trade Desk stock at a discount through The Trade Desk’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
