The FP&A Senior Analyst will join a lean team, headed by the SVP of FP&A, to assist in supporting the Data Partnerships organization with modeling, analysis, project management and presentation of critical operating data. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who not only possesses exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills but also communicates findings confidently and articulately to a wide range of stakeholders.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:Work with broader FP&A team to support the Data Partnerships organization by assisting in various aspects of data strategy projects from reviewing the problem statement, to modeling outcomes and helping craft strategic recommendationsBuild and maintain financial and operational models for high-priority strategic initiatives, including analyzing data pricing models, new product launches and product adoptionCollaborate with business owners and the Accounting team to assist in various month-end close procedures to help drive accuracy in accruals and operating expense forecastingPrepare materials for financial review meetings, highlighting variances to forecasts and using insights to drive forecasting improvements, operating decisions, and long-range plansDevelop analytics to help structure new commercial agreements and evaluate success of existing partnership termsPerform value added ad-hoc analyses to help drive decision makingCollaborate with various Finance, Data Partnership, Data Strategy, Product, and Client Services teams to investigate strategic initiatives and use quantitative analysis to support executive decision-making processesDesign reports and dashboards to track key performance metrics and insightsContinuously take on additional responsibility to improve processes, reporting and procedures, and take on other duties as needed to assist the teamWHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or an applicable field3+ years of experience in a sophisticated financial role (corporate finance/strategy, investment banking, management consulting, data analytics, financial planning and analysis)Strong understanding of corporate finance and accounting conceptsDemonstrated ability to build financial models for forecasting and perform ad hoc analyses to distill complex problems into digestible insightsExcellent communicator (both written and verbal), with the ability to present to senior management and business leaders in a clear, concise mannerAbility to collaborate cross-functionally and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environmentExceptional analytical acumen & attention to detailStrong project management skills and ability to juggle multiple prioritiesKnowledge of or prior experience in digital media, programmatic advertising, internet or data companies preferredStrong business sense, with the ability to understand changing industry forces and focus on relevant KPIsExperience with or interest in learning database (SQL, Vertica, etc.), data visualization software (Tableau, etc.) and financial planning software (Oracle)High personal and professional integrity, with a willingness to dig into anything and everything to support the business#LI-SM1Our Compensation and Benefits ( for NY, CO, CA, and WA residents only)At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range.  The base salary range for this role is $83,000 -$152,100In accordance with NY, CO, CA, and WA law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role.  The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location.  All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions.  Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year.  Employees can also purchase The Trade Desk stock at a discount through The Trade Desk’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
