You will be both professionally and personally engaged in keeping up to date with the ever-changing legal landscape related to advertising technology in EMEA. As part of this role your focus will be to: Collaborate with the company's EMEA business and product teams to provide legal advice on commercial initiatives in the region, including issue-spotting and offering solutions to mitigate legal risk. Provide legal support on the development and go-to-market of our innovative identity solutions for post-cookie digital advertising in Europe, in partnership with your legal colleagues. Help advise on region-specific Privacy-by-Design considerations when bringing our global products to the European market, and offer risk-mitigating solutions adapted to the local regulatory landscape. Assist in the day-to-day management of our internal privacy and data governance programs for EMEA Support the Commercial Legal team as needed on DPA negotiations and other commercial privacy terms in EMEA. Work closely with internal business partners to understand their perspectives, processes, applications, projects, and technologies to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and best practices while guiding them to the successful resolution of projects. Collaborate with legal and business team members to improve processes. Who you are Qualifications: you are admitted to practice law in England or in an EU jurisdiction. Experience: 6+ years of legal experience advising business and/or product stakeholders on complex privacy matters in a technology-focused industry. Experience advising on highly complex data-flows and building a working understanding of elaborate technology. Experience developing and/or maintaining internal privacy compliance and data governance programs. Familiarity with legal issues impacting the European digital advertising ecosystem, including self-regulatory guidelines, privacy and data governance legislation, online consumer protection issues. Some exposure to current and upcoming European technology regulations is a plus (such as UK Data Protection and Digital Information Bill, EU Digital Services Act, EU AI Act). Experience counseling on advertising technology is a plus. Desired Skills: You have great legal judgment and critical thinking skills. You are able to work with diligence and organisation, and to proactively project-manage your tasks from onset to completion. You know how to boil complex issues down to the bottom line, to assess risk in a knowledgeable, pragmatic way, and to provide practical, business-friendly advice to clients. You build effective relationships with internal cross-functional partners established on trust, respect, and confidence. You are constantly seeking to keep abreast of current events in the wider Privacy and Regulatory Compliance community and have a keen interest in the underlying technology we support.
