We are seeking a Director of Identity Data Partnerships who is self-motivated and experienced in data acquisition. You will be responsible for supporting our identity products by prioritizing opportunities for investment, identifying and pursuing new data partnerships, managing existing relationships, negotiating deal terms and navigating the contract process. Success in this role means partnering cross functionally to help The Trade Desk improve our identity offerings today while building resilience for the future. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, will roll up their sleeves and comb through data, is an effective communicator, and is adept at building internal and external partnerships. What you’ll do: Develop and implement data acquisition strategies that drive growth and value for TTD Analyze data to identify and evaluate potential data acquisition opportunities that align with the company’s strategic vision and business objectives Manage existing data partnerships, ensuring that they are performing optimally and that contractual obligations are being met Develop and maintain relationships with data providers globally, understanding capabilities and assets that might be valuable to TTD’s identity products Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Product, Engineering, and Data Science to ensure acquisition efforts are aligned with product roadmap and data is integrated efficiently and effectively into the platform Negotiate deal terms and contracts with data partners and vendors Drive an efficient relationship structure for partnerships in conjunction with new partners plus Legal, Finance, and other team members Assist in monthly financial billing reconciliation & collaborate on billing process enhancements Assure compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations Manage partnership deliverables including regular reports and ad hoc needs Who you are: 5-8+ years of experience in data partnerships or a related area, ideally within adtech/martech, with the ability to tie opportunity to value Strong negotiation and contract management skills Self-motivated problem-solver comfortable wearing multiple and diverse hats Intellectually curious and forward thinking Proven communication, questioning and listening skills in formal and informal settings Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic working environment with shifting priorities Ability to build excellent rapport with internal (Legal, Finance, Product, etc.) and external partners Comfort and experience with Excel and Powerpoint as analysis and presentation tools Experience in digital media, preferably ad tech, with a finger on the pulse of the evolving identity and privacy landscape preferred Experience with Slack, Jira (or other ticketing systems), and Salesforce for opportunity management a plus Our Compensation and Benefits ( for NY, CO, CA, and WA residents only)At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is $147,000 -$269,500In accordance with NY, CO, CA, and WA law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year.
