Pay Rate:$75,240.00 - $112,860.00Project Manager – Test Engineering TeamStatus: Exempt (salaried) Department: EngineeringPosition SummaryThe Engineering Project Manager develops and maintains program schedules and tracks deliverables to ensure Production Test Equipment activities are carried out in accordance with established specifications, schedules, and budgets. This position plays a key role in managing expectations and priorities to both internal and external customers. The successful candidate will coordinate with multiple cross-functional departments in order to efficiently allocate resources, manage risks, develop attainable schedules, and clarify requirements as needed.In addition, the Project Manager will coordinate and implement design changes and improvements to previously released equipment. In this function, the role will require close collaboration with manufacturing, purchasing, production planning, and engineering, utilizing tools such as Windchill PLM/PDM, and Avante ERP for change management control.Due to the highly technical nature of our business, this position requires a strong background in engineering to better assess risks, mitigations, and communication across the project team. The ideal candidate should be creative, self-motivated, able to handle multiple projects, and able to thrive in a fast-paced engineering organization.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesCreate and maintain complex schedules for multiple engineering activities. Identify critical path activities, key deliverables, key risks and mitigations, relationships and constraints for projects to allow schedule and resource predictability.Translate production needs into engineering requirements as appropriate with the engineering, manufacturing, and marketing teams.Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing management to set priorities and allocate resources to efficiently meet delivery commitments.Drive project team meetings to review status, identify issues, and plan future actions.Interface with internal and external customers to ensure they are informed and updated of program statuses, delays, and deliverables.Coordinate the efforts of the Engineering, Facilities, Sales and Production departments to ensure programs are conducted in accordance with the requirements of sales orders and budgets.Lead multi-functional activities in processing engineering changes and coordinate scheduling, materials, engineering, and production for effective implementation.Develop, track and report key metrics for projects and changesGenerate and maintain change control documentation.Work to insure consistency across Service Portal, ERP, PLM/PDM systemsIndependently anticipates potential schedule delays and initiate plans for alternative actions as needed; able to rearrange competing priorities to ensure all deadlines are metUpdate senior management on program status and issues on a regular basisAbility to travel as needed to carry out duties of the position – up to 20%Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment and multi-taskMay perform other duties as assigned. Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field of studyMinimum of three (3) years project management experience in an engineering field. PMP preferred but not required.Experience in a test equipment is required.Experience with PLM and ERP systems desired. Experience with WindChill preferred.Working knowledge of bill of material (BOM) structure as it relates to product life cycle management or materials resource planning systems.Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD packages preferred.Dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and stakeholders.Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Project, Excel, and OutlookStrong verbal and written communication skillsExceptional organizational skillsDemonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detailTeamwork oriented and focused.
