Pay Rate:$22.12 - $31.68Facilities TechnicianStatus: Non-Exempt ( hourly )Department: FacilitiesPosition SummaryThe primary objective for the Facility Technician (Mechanical Systems) is to technically support the mechanical facility and lab facility support systems. This person will focus on maintaining and repairing facilities equipment including lab and assembly equipment. This person will also complete modifications and improvements to the facility gas distribution, water and sewage systems. Finally, as a member of the Facilities Team, they may be asked to complete general maintenance tasks as required to maintain the buildings and grounds.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesWork as a member of the Facilities Team to complete specific assigned projectsAssemble new and repair existing lab and production equipmentInstall new lab and facility services including basic plumbing and gas delivery systemsInteract with vendors to select proper hardware needed to complete projects and tasks Support/maintain test facilities by performing routine periodic maintenance on lab and assembly equipmentModify existing lab and assembly equipment as required to support fuel cell stack development Complete weekly inspections of facility and lab equipment as requiredMaintain spare part inventory for lab and assembly equipment and support systemsMaintain and repair facility plumbing and lighting systemsAssist with the fabrication of prototypes as requiredParticipate on energy conservation and sustainability project teamsProvide coverage for other Facilities Department staff during illness and vacationsParticipate in safety reviews and support all EH&S policies and directivesLead effort to achieve 5S compliance throughout facility spacesEducation and ExperienceAssociates degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience3 years’ experience working with facility mechanical equipment and systemsAbility to assembly tube assemblies using Swagelok productsCustomer focused orientation with the ability to communicate effectively with co-workersWell organized, team-player who will take a “hands-on” approach to solve problemsAbility to generate mechanical schematics using AutoCAD or Visio desiredWe offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:✓ Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
