Pay Rate:$106,849.00 - $170,958.00Director - IT Infrastructure OperationsStatus: Exempt (Salaried)Department: Information TechnologyPosition SummaryThe Infrastructure Operations Leader will support Plug Power in leading the day-to-day operational execution of infrastructure services supporting enterprise IT customers, Plug Power hub locations, and will be responsible for configuration and fulfillment of customer hardware. The ideal candidate for this position manages the operations and all necessary aspects of planning, implementing transitioning, operating, and maintaining the infrastructure, data center, and hosting services across multiple enterprise IT programs. This person will be responsible for multi-site data center operations with focus on high availability, DR/BCP, and wired and wireless connectivity.  The successful candidate will have the skillset to determine technical feasibility with specified technologies, cost for implementation and operation, functional adequacy, and a demonstrated ability to manage a team composed of technologists and engineering personnel.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis person will be responsible for multi-site data center operations with DR/Continuity of Operations capabilitiesFormulates and reviews project plans, determines cost, and ensures conformance to corporate, compliance, and customer standardsResponsible for formulating and enforcing work standards, reviewing work discrepancies, supervising personnel, and communicating policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to subordinatesAble to evaluate proposed information systems to determine technical feasibility with specified technologies, including wired, wireless, cellular, and emerging transmission protocolsThis individual will be responsible for operational direction and development of operational models to align with customer’s changing regulatory and operational needsThe individual will also serve as the central point of contact to interface with customer management personnel and other officials relative to operationsParticipate in IT strategy planning activities, bringing a current knowledge and future vision of infrastructure technology and systems and best practices (e.g., ITIL) as related to the needs of the businessProactively research and recommend courses of action to prevent problems and to maintain high infrastructure service levels and continuity of service for all user and customer populationsUtilize metrics, key performance indicators, and service level agreements for driving the performance of IT service deliveryMeet regularly with customers, ensure compliance with customer requirements and scope, and address performance concerns expeditiouslyAssist in the development of new solutions and proposal ideas by seeking industry best practices and collaborating with internal SMEsEducation and ExperienceBA/BS or equivalent experience and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience. Generally, has 4+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects.Demonstrated experience relative to oral and written communications with all levels of management for planning and control of operations and projects. Experience leading large scale IT solutions for high-growth clients, including Data Center operations, hardware, and software. Experience leading IT multi-disciplined infrastructure staff. Information Technology experience, with experience in managing multiple teams or projects and advising/influencing senior level management and key stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with the highest levels of management.Demonstrated experience with Cisco routing and Aruba  switching and wireless technologies, Extreme wireless, Dell Servers, and EMC Storage.Exempt employees are expected to work as many hours as is necessary to complete their job responsibilities.  This may require they work more than eight hours a day and more than five days or 40 hours per week.  We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:✓ Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
