Pay Rate:$86,815.00 - $138,904.00Manager, Remanufacturing EngineeringStatus: ExemptDepartment: Service OperationsPosition SummaryPlug’s Recycle, Reuse, Remanufacture programs within Services continue to grow.The Remanufacturing Engineering Manager will manage these programs from development to implementation. This manager will be responsible in providing cost saving analytics, process development, quality assurance, and factory acceptance testing for all components and products both produced and utilized by the services organization. Working in conjunction with work cell supervisors, quality management, and NPI (New Product Introduction) engineering, the Remanufacturing Engineering Team will establish best practices and procedures within the work cell. This person will lead a culture of continuous improvement through the implementation of Lean-Sigma methodologies, researching leading edge processes and best practices, focused on achieving the highest possible levels of product quality and operational excellence. The Manager will develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI) around cost management, work cell resources, product throughput, and takt times. All efforts and initiatives within the role are gated to increase the quality of materials provided to our customers, streamline service integration of new product releases, and improve manufacturing efficiencies in Service Operations. This individual plays a critical role in the development and refinement of manufacturing processes, material flow, and standard operating procedures. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, able to handle multiple project assignments and willing to learn and adapt in a fast-paced engineering organization.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage a team of Remanufacturing & Process Engineers focused on improving service quality, reducing cost, increasing productivity.Assign team tasks and lead remanufacturing efforts to align with service deliverablesEstablish goals and KPI’s for the team focused on continuous improvementCollaborate with engineering, advanced manufacturing engineering, and NPI planning to streamline services related to new product introductionsDevelop enhanced manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing quality methods and quality tools; conferring with equipment/raw material suppliers.Manage and develop all standard operating procedures for the work cell including failure analysis, remanufacturing, manufacturing, and validation testing.Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.Drive and monitor continuous process improvement measured by KPI’s including failure analysis, production quality, production capacity, and cost reduction.Champions and facilitates the engineering change process and all relevant communication/documentation.Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.Perform all other duties as assigned.Education and Experience BS degree in engineering -- mechanical, electrical, or industrial.Six Sigma green belt/black belt preferred.Five () or more years of related quality work experience; experience within a high-tech manufacturing operation is highly preferred. Previous management experience preferredProven track record of helping to drive manufacturing quality improvement projects.Dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to translate complex methodologies to diverse audiences and stakeholders.Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail.Proficient with Computer and software systems, Microsoft Office software.Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task effectively.Role model for high standards of professionalism.Excellent follow-through. Must be driven and self-motivated.We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:✓ Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
