Pay Rate:$17.63 - $23.48Sr. Inventory Controls TechnicianInventory Control Kanban Lead TechnicianStatus: Non-exempt (hourly)                                                            Department: Supply Chain Houston ManufacturingPosition SummaryInventory Control Kanban Lead Technician takes a lead role in controlling KANBAN inventories across our Houston Manufacturing operations. The Inventory Control Kanban Lead Technician will manage the workflow of the inventory team, including all aspects of on hand inventory levels. While ensuring accurate inventory counts, the Inventory Control Kanban Lead Technician will also maintain and report inventory for accuracy. This role is critical to ensure that the Houston Manufacturing facility maintains its production schedule. The Inventory Control Kanban Lead Technician must be highly skilled at working with cross-functional departments in order to sustain existing warehouses as well as planning for expansion. The ideal candidate for this position will work effectively in the coordination of efforts within a technology manufacturing operation while possessing the ability to help drive efficiency in parts usage across the company. Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead daily inventory movement requirements to meet manufacturing schedules and directing the team as neededAnalyze inventory usage downstream to determine appropriate usage and needsWork closely with Production Management to identify adjustments required to KANBAN item and levelsReport on usage and accuracy across each warehouse to better coordinate the movement of inventoryInvestigate the most efficient methods of transferring inventory between warehousesPartner with the engineering team to manage the requirements of engineering change requests and component improvementsEstablish and facilitate system improvements to ensure accurate inventory counts with oversight from supervisorsIdentify, prepare, submit, and oversee MRP (Dynamic Great Plains) inventory movementsAssist the service team members in non-routine investigations of inventory issues in order to identify root causes and implement appropriate corrective actionsRepresent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times and in all interactionsPerform all other duties as assignedEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent; vocational education/training is preferredMinimum of two (2) year of experience in a manufacturing environment; preferred experience in an inventory management roleExperience and proficiency with ERP systems; Dynamic Great Plains experience preferredExperience in working with KANBAN replenishing systemsComputer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookProven ability to collaborate effectively within a team atmosphereExcellent communication skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailRole model for high standards of professionalismUpmost dedication to qualityAbility to work overtime as assigned and commit to a flexible work schedule around manufacturing demandMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassistedResults-oriented and driven work styleExcellent task-oriented follow-throughWe offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:✓ Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
