Operations Controller EMEAStatus: Exempt (Salaried) Department: Finance/AccountingPosition SummaryPlug Power (NASDAQ PLUG) is leading the green energy revolution and continues to expand rapidly in Europe. The Operations Controller role is an integral position in the financial operations team and provides operational financial support to our European business. This role is critical to help drive strategic decision making within the business based upon the measurement of financial data. This position is tasked to assist the Finance Director, with building out and providing ongoing financial metrics and data points so that business strategies can be refined and improved. The Operations Controller must also be available to help develop custom reporting and provide fact-based guidance upon request for various business purposes. Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop cost reporting processes for the communication of monthly/quarterly actual results vs budget Analyze sales order, purchase order, and work order ERP configurations to ensure accurate and timely reportingReview and maintain accurate BOM structure costing for the Business UnitAnalyze Labor and Overhead for the business by product group, help develop labor trackingDevelop processes to record and track inventory for Plug Power and its subsidiariesResponsible for budgeting and forecasting costs. Work with Operations teams to accurately forecast financial dataAssist in coordination of capital expenditure and capacity planning for operationsDevelop cost down tracking for key productsParticipate in an ERP system migration to SAP S/4HanaResponsible for Inventory accuracy and KPIs for the business. Drive process changes and install best practices as neededDevelop and grow strong cross-functional relationships to ensure the achievement of department and business objectives through collaboration and communicationPrepare and execute strategies that optimize working capitalLeverage Business Intelligence tools to reduce manual work and automate financial reportingProvide relevant, accurate, and timely financial information to management for decision makingRepresent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times and in all interactionsPerform all other duties as assignedEducation and Experience Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance, CPA preferredTen (10) or more years of related work experience including experience within manufacturing operations Financial systems ERP experienceCost Accounting experience requiredDemonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detailExperience with Statutory vs GAAP reconciliationSuperior communication skillsProficient with Microsoft Office softwareAbility to manage complex projects and multi-task effectivelyAbility to role model high standards of professionalismExcellent follow-through Must be driven and self-motivatedMust possess the highest ethical standards and a commitment to work qualityPlug Power, Inc. is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
