Systems Demand Planner Status: Salaried (Exempt) E2                                    Department: Operations/PurchasingPosition SummaryThe Systems Demand Planner serves a critical role at Plug Power, supporting all aspects of supply and demand planning operations within the Planning team, including configuration and continuous improvement of material planning data and systems while working cross functionally with Supply Chain to understand timelines and activities which impact supply chain and production.The Systems Demand Planner will help to analyze supply chain data, develop, and run related reports and metrics, drive action within the Supply Chain team and additional teams that affect Supply Chain outcomes.  The Systems Demand Planner will also track and summarize root causes, trends, and identify solutions to help Supply Chain to operate more efficiently and avoid part stockouts while managing inventory levels.  The Systems Demand Planner uses data and systems to set expectations and guide teams on effective operations.  The ideal candidate for this role must be a diligent and thorough task executor who can effectively manage multiple priorities with clarity and focus.  The Systems Demand Planner must establish very strong and mutually beneficial relationships with internal colleagues and stakeholders, and therefore requires dynamic interpersonal skills.  A most successful Systems Demand Planner exhibits timely and accurate transactional work, outstanding cross-functional collaboration, proactive communication skills, and unwavering follow-up to ensure completion of critical tasks and projects.  The Systems Demand Planner is a critical and value-added member of the Operations team.   Principle AccountabilitiesLead, execute and enforce all part setup, part maintenance, and part planning processes and implementation into ERP system.Implement scheduled and systematic review and updates of all part setup parameters, including safety stocks, order policy, order level parameters.Drive signals and activity to eliminate part stockouts.Review and analyze short-cycled demands to understand root cause analysis and follow-up with teams to implement solutions to prevent continued occurrences.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesDrive YOY efficiency improvements in Planning/Supply Chain organization.Integrate with Materials team to ensure part purchasing parameters match production and material movements.Integrate with Purchasing team to ensure part purchasing parameters match suppliers’ production run and packaging sizes.Integrate with Manufacturing Engineering team to ensure BOM are calling out correct consumption of parts needed for assembly.Build and maintain annual forecasts to the part level, integrating production and service projections, trends, and actual usage, to compare expected vs. actual demands.Integrate with IT teams to implement, improve and maintain data reports and systems related to planning.Build ad-hoc queries and reports.Introduce process improvement initiatives to Operations and other related business processes which help to drive efficiencies, reduce operating costs, and increase inventory and documentation accuracy.Always represent Plug Power in a professional manner and in all interactions.Perform all other duties as assignedEducation and ExperienceBS degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or other relevant field of study and/or a minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; preferred experience in a scheduling capacity for a technology product line.ASCM certifications preferred.Lean, Six Sigma green belt or black belt preferred.Experience and proficiency with ERP systems.Microsoft Office product experience and proficiency – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access.Data mining skills with the ability to develop analytics for specific measurements.Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team atmosphere.Strong interpersonal skills and communication abilities.Strong organizational, critical thinking and problem-solving skills along with attention to detail a must.Demonstrated proficiency with project management.Role model for high standards of professionalism.Results-oriented and driven work style.Excellent task-oriented follow-through.Pay Rate:$52,250.00 - $78,375.00
