Sr. Cloud Security Engineer and AdministratorStatus: Exempt (Salaried)Department: ITPosition SummaryThe Sr. Cloud Security Engineer and Administrator will lead the design, development, and administration of core operations as they relate to Azure, AWS, or other public hyperscalers.  This role oversees all system related activities including the delivery of comprehensive strategies that enable infrastructure transformation, defining policy, managing priorities, infrastructure provisioning, managing compute spend, and ensuring that service delivery is on time, stable, and optimized (quality). This position will directly contribute to the overall global enterprise cloud architecture and support the company security vision and strategy as it relates to cloud-based applications and services (including Infrastructure, Platform, and Software as a Service (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS).The Sr. Cloud Security Engineer and Administrator will serve as the central point of contact for Enterprise Cloud Security and partner with members of the Enterprise Architecture team for all matters related to cloud security, reporting, and day-to-day operations.  The successful candidate possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills, deep technical expertise and hands-on experience with Azure IaaS, PaaS, O365, cloud services, and has thrived in supporting day-to-day operational needs and environments.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesDefines enterprise (Public, Private and Hybrid) cloud strategies for cloud adoption, cloud application design, and cloud management and monitoring.Identifies and administrates cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of the company.Works on cloud solutions across a diverse range of projects, which can include application integration, identity/access management, network, and data management.Protects cloud-based applications/services from data breaches or cybersecurity threatsAnalyze infrastructure performance in order to resolve problems or make appropriate recommendations.Ownership and responsibility for various other cloud system administration tasks as prioritized by leadership.Updates cloud-based application security protocols.Troubleshoots operational issues with any cloud-based applications.Partners with the Network/System Engineers to perform business related initiatives and essential duties.Responds to technical issues and operational concerns in a professional and timely manner.Offers guidance and executes on solutions to bulk application transfers into the cloud and deployments of applications to cloud environments.Effectively manages day-to-day activities across multiple projects.Education and Experience 8+ years’ experience with cloud security architecture, engineering, and support principles.4 years’ experience with Cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, GCPThe ability to balance long-term projects and strategic initiatives with short-term emergent requests.Strong, demonstrable experience leading systems/technical teams through various phases of growth.Ability to excel when working with multiple functional teams on complex IT projects.Strong analytical skills with excellent problem-solving abilities.Working knowledge or experience with Windows server administration, networking, and infrastructure.Recognized cloud certifications (CompTIA Cloud +, AWS Solutions Architect, Google Associate Cloud Engineer, Microsoft Azure Certified, CCSK) desiredPay Rate:$75,240.00 - $112,860.00We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:✓Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
