Supply Chain ManagerStatus: Exempt (Salaried)Department: Plug Process SystemsPosition Summary The Supply Chain Manager position is responsible in managing the entire spectrum of supply chain process from pre-sale support through delivery, to include procurement and production planning. Responsible for supply chain planning and management of the AVL to ensure top quality products, best price, on-time delivery, and sufficient manufacturing capability and capacity. Develop and continually adjust the production plan for all types of manufacturing and fabrication. Oversee the supply chain during the execution of sub-contracted scopes-of-work to ensure cost effective, timely and on-specification performance across the portfolio. Experience with the quoting and purchasing of engineered equipment and OEM packages, preferably experience with the negotiating, contracting and procurement of complete engineered packages to be integrated into complete Plug process system solutions.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesInterface across department lines to plan and prioritize procurement activities.Establish and enforce purchasing policies and ensure compliance.Master and Manage the Supply Chain aspects of Procore (ERP System). Train all Buyers and Package Engineers on the established procedures and standards. Ensure disciplined compliance with established procurement process and procedures across all functional areas.Lead negotiations with vendors for the purchase of materials, supplies, equipment, and services.Ensure the Procurement Plan has been prepared and updated for execution.Manage the Plug Process systems (PPS) Approved Vendor List (AVL), to include the selection and pre-qualification of vendors. Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC and Accounting when evaluating new vendors.Coordinate with Package Engineering to define the technical scope, quality, and scheduling requirements for Requests For Proposal (RFPs) prior to issuance.Package RFPs with all necessary documents and specifications and issue to selected vendors.Responsible for ensuring the timely completion of bid tabs for each RFP.Develop, issue, and monitor all Purchase Orders (POs) to ensure in-budget and on time deliveries; expedite deliveries as required.Participate in the development and negotiation of contract terms and conditions.Monitor planned and actual cost through the life cycle of all projects to assess costs to complete and percent complete.Develop base line budgets and delivery and cost improvement / recovery plans for all projects.Populate, update, and maintain Procore (ERP) system with all procurement informationTrack the status of all free issued materials to the skid fabrication vendors and coordinate with the Production Manager to ensure traceability of all deliveries.In coordination with the Production Manager, develop and maintain the Procurement Plan and support the maintenance of the Production Plan to track and forecast the progress of all purchased engineered equipment deliveries.Work with Project controls and Accounting group to insure proper internal approvals are obtained for individual purchase requisitions / purchase orders are obtained, as required by the Approval Authority Matrix in effect at the time of purchase order placement.In conjunction with Engineering / Design, Fabrication QA/QC and Project Management, facilitate vendor kick-off meetings, as required.Schedule and lead weekly vendor progress meetings to ensure timely submission of vendor drawings and documents and ensure timely turn-around for approval.Stay apprised of economic and market conditions that price of goods and services used, and report on a regular basis to end user groups.Contribute to the Weekly Cashflow report, Forecast To Completion Report, “Monthly Closing” and other periodic financial reporting process for all projects.Provide leadership for the continuous improvement of the Procurement / Supply Chain Management processExempt employees are expected to work as many hours as is necessary to complete their job responsibilities. This may require they work more than eight hours a day and more than five days or 40 hours per week.
