Position SummaryThe Senior Accounting Analyst, Fixed Assets handles a variety of primary duties including: communicating with capex project managers of the business, preparing internal and external reporting documents, determining proper accounting treatment of capitalizable projects and monitoring of triggering events for proper accounting. This role serves a critical function to the accounting team as a subject matter expert and provides specialized knowledge of the accounting, reporting, and compliance obligations related to fixed assets affecting publicly trades companies.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssists in gathering, analyzing and producing internal financial reports to support managementAssists in gathering, analyzing and producing external financial reports to support SEC filingsResponsible for preparing journal entries of certain accountsPlays an active role in the monthly, quarterly and annual consolidation and closing activitiesPartners with external auditors and supports audit requests as a subject matter expert related to Plug Power’s financial reporting of fixed assetsMaintains current knowledge of US GAAP; make recommendations for process changes as dictated by these obligationsResearches complex accounting issues and provide guidance on accounting treatmentRepresent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times and in all interactionsPerform other duties as assignedEducation and Experience BS in accounting from accredited university; CPA license preferred3+ years of related financial reporting/public accounting; preferred to have Big 4 Accounting Firm experience Experience working in a publicly traded organization or as an auditor of a publicly traded organization preferredUnderstanding of US GAAP reporting obligations for public companiesDemonstrated track record of implementing enhanced accounting standards and financial reporting systemsComputer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OutlookStrong verbal and written communication skillsUncompromising dedication to qualityDemonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detailAbility to manage complex projects and multi-task effectivelyExcellent follow-throughMust be driven and self-motivatedTeamwork oriented and focusedPay Rate:$62,700.00 - $94,050.00We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:✓Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
