Sr. Warehouse TechnicianStatus: Non-exempt (hourly)Department: Direct Warehouse LaborPosition SummaryThe Sr. Warehouse Technician will be responsible for a range of activities within the warehousing, shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment sections of our production operation.  The position requires organization of a wide range of materials, and communication with an array of internal and external customers. The ideal candidate must possess a high degree of flexibility, strong attention to detail, and the ability to competently respond to direction. This candidate must be able to meet scheduling demands and be able to satisfy physical demands of the position, including the operation of electric and manual pallet jacks. As a senior technician, this individual must be a resource on the team for mentorship of junior level technicians. Applicants for this position must be extremely safety conscious.Core Duties & ResponsibilitiesPreparing merchandise for shipmentLoading of trucks, and labeling of shipping informationReceiving parts and other merchandiseProperly and accurately cataloging received and shipped inventoryOrder fulfillment for various production and research and development departmentsInventory controlFrequent lifting, bending, and pullingOperation of material handling equipment, including fork lifts and pallet jacksClear and professional communication with shipping and receiving coordinators, purchasing agents, warehouse and production supervisors, production staff, and engineering staffOperation of a Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and OutlookProfessionally communicate with outside vendors and customersOccasional operation of hand toolsAssist where need as directed by the Warehouse Cell Leader and Materials LeadMust professionally communicate and collaborate with supervisors and team members regarding warehouse goals while also being able to influence needs for overtime and labor support when needs ariseEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent; vocational education/training is preferredAt least 2 years of experience within a warehousing positionKnowledge of Microsoft Office is preferredAvante inventory management preferredAbility to manage time effectivelyStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent verbal communication skills, strong written communication skillsKnowledge of warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, order fulfillment, and inventory management preferredExcellent task-oriented follow throughAbility to frequently lift up to 60lbs, pull up to 100lbs, and stand 100% of the timeAbility to work in inclement weather for short periods of timePay Rate:$17.63 - $23.48We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:✓ Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
