European Head of Project Finance Status: Exempt (salaried) Department: Finance/AccountingPosition SummaryPlug Power (NASDAQ PLUG) is leading the green energy revolution and continues to expand rapidly in Europe. The Project Finance Manager position plays a key role in shaping major business initiatives pertaining to the structuring and financing of liquid hydrogen plants. Securing Project-Financing, Lease arrangements and other types of financing will be key to driving our continued growth and success. The role will also prepare reporting for National and European government organizations that have provided subsidiesThis role act as financial advisor during the planning, structuring and development stages of major green Hydrogen projects. In addition the role will manage our relationships with the capital markets and government institutions. The ideal candidate must have a combination of banking, project financing, and financial analysis experience. Good hands-on excel skills as well as ability to communicate and persuade senior level stakeholders.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelops and maintains a detailed understanding of Plug Power’s customer solutions and related contractual structuresDevelops financial models, plans, presentations and pitch decks for internal and external useWorks with our accounting team to update financial templates and forms requested by governmental and financial institutionsBuilds and maintains strong relationships with governmental and financial institutionsMonitor and control project scope, schedule, budget and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholdersLends expertise and support to business development activities by analyzing current financial data and modeling forward-looking financial metrics; provides strategic recommendations based upon this financial due diligence processPrepares and provides ad hoc reporting analysis requested by executive management and department leaders as needed to support the businessRepresent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times and in all interactionsPerform all other duties as assignedEducation and ExperienceBS degree in Accounting/Finance; MBA and/or relevant certification (CPA, CFA, CMA) is highly preferredEight (8) or more years of related work experience, preferably within investment banking or the energy industryDynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to translate complex financial metrics to diverse audiences and stakeholdersSuperior communication skillsProficient with Microsoft Office softwareAbility to manage complex projects and multi-task effectivelyAbility to role model high standards of professionalismExcellent follow-through Must be driven and self-motivatedMust possess the highest ethical standards and a commitment to work quality
