Senior Quality Technician Status: Non-Exempt (hourly)                                                            Department: Program ManagementPosition SummaryThe Senior Quality Technician will inspect parts, sub-assemblies, and systems from various points of the value stream. This includes drawing analysis, dimensional/electrical measurements and reports written about the inspection results. This position requires the ability to work in a strong team environment for exchange of information, problem solving for root cause analysis, and continuous improvement of department processes. Success will be measured by throughput of material from Receipt Inspection as well as year after year reduction in the total cost of discrepant material within the Material Review Board (MRB). This position will work closely with Supplier Quality Engineering/Manufacturing Engineering to drive root cause identification and effective corrective actions.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesInspect incoming materials to dimensioned drawings, visual attributes, and/or performance standardsUse inspection tools and gages such as calipers, micrometers, leak testing equipment, microscopes, CMMCoordinate regular MRB meetings and update metric reports on reoccurring basisInteract with the Manufacturing Engineering Group to solve quality issues.Track effectiveness of corrective actions and report these findings to SQE/ME departmentTakes ownership of special manufacturing or quality related projects, provides status updates, and regular feedback to the teamTrain personnel on proper use of metrology devicesResponsible for maintaining calibration records for equipment & toolsSetup and perform end of line product quality reviewsPerforms other related duties as assigned.Education and Experience High School diploma or equivalent required, two-year technical degree desired.Minimum of three (3) years experience in a quality related role.Ability to interpret engineering drawings. Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing requiredExcellent working experience with Metrology devices including CMMBasic understanding of SPC (Statistical Process Control)Good organizational, communication, and problem solving skills.Requires math proficiency along with basic computer knowledgeMust have general manufacturing process experience5S experience and training is highly preferredDedication to qualityExcellent follow-throughStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsMust be driven and self-motivatedPay Rate:$22.12 - $31.68We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:✓ Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
