Lead Warehouse TechnicianStatus: Non-exempt (hourly)Department: Direct warehouse laborPosition SummaryThe Lead Warehouse Technician will be responsible for a range of activities within the warehousing, shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment sections of our warehouse operation. The position requires the organization of a wide range of materials, and communication with an array of internal and external customers. The ideal candidate must possess a high degree of order processes knowledge, ERP system understanding, flexibility, strong attention to detail, the ability to competently respond to direction and meet scheduling demands. This individual must exhibit a huge emphasis on safety along with an uncompromising dedication to quality. As a Lead technician, this individual must be a resource on the team for mentorship of junior level technicians.Principle AccountabilitiesContinuity of material supply to meet production demandInventory accuracyCustomer orders/request internal and externalCore Duties & ResponsibilitiesPreparing merchandise for shipmentLoading of trucks, and labeling of shipping informationReceiving parts and other merchandiseProperly and accurately cataloging received and shipped inventoryOrder fulfillment for various production and research and development departmentsInventory controlOperation of material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacksClear and professional communication with shipping and receiving coordinators, purchasing agents, warehouse and production supervisors, production and engineering staff along with any additional internal and external stakeholders.Kitting and Work Order managementEstablish goals to complete work to continually improve metrics related to quality and throughputProblem resolution and project execution as assignedAssist where needed as directed by the Warehouse Cell Leader and Materials LeadMust professionally communicate and collaborate with supervisors and team members regarding warehouse goals while also being able to influence needs for overtime and labor support when needs ariseEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma required; associates or vocational degree preferred. Five (5) or more years of relevant work experience within a warehouse/logistics function; preferably as part of a warehouse environmentExperience with completing projects and successfully working with teammates to complete activitiesStrong leadership skills including daily communications with the coworkers and with internal customersAbility to frequently lift up to 60lbs, pull up to 100lbs, and stand 100% of the timeExcellent understanding of material movements, storage techniques, pick processes, and use of systems and databases to manage materialsComputer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OutlookExperience with ERP/MRP systems is a must; Avante experience preferredStrong verbal and written communication skillsInterpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and stakeholders at all levelsUncompromising dedication to qualityDemonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detailExcellent follow-throughMust be driven and self-motivatedPay Rate:$20.07 - $26.90We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:✓ Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
