Finance Manager – JVs/Business DevelopmentsStatus: Exempt (salaried) Department: Finance/AccountingPosition SummaryPlug is seeking an experienced finance business partner to support its Applications business unit with their objectives. This role will be a liaison with the three joint venture (JV) leadership teams, playing a critical role in providing financial guidance around pricing strategy, JV go to market support and commercial pipeline development. This leader will not only help the JV finance teams develop and monitor their business case but will also be the financial lead in business development and new market ventures for the entire Applications business unit.The Finance Manager will manage key financial and accounting measurements within the Applications business unit and must also be available to develop custom reporting and provide fact-based analysis and guidance upon request for various business purposes. This individual must be self-motivated, able to handle multiple project assignments and is willing to learn and adapt within a fast-paced, growing organizationCore Duties and ResponsibilitiesDrive fact-based financial and operational analysis to assist in the creation of meaningful, actionable conclusions to drive decision making Support Hyvia, Hyverse and Universal Hydrogen joint ventures, partnering with joint venture leadership to maximize growth and profitability.Partner with product management on new application opportunities in the mobility and aviation spaces, financially supporting both internal investment and business development opportunities.Own Joint Venture budgeting process to ensure forecasting alignment with operations and business unit team members. Publish monthly/quarterly analysis of actual results versus budget along with findings and conclusionsProvide operational insight for the leadership team, allowing the team to understand and manage the business at optimal levelsProvide detailed Joint Venture P&L reviews and analysis of monthly Sales/MarginSupport cost down initiatives on Plug products sold into the joint ventures. Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as defined by the leadership team for business needsDevelop and grow strong cross-functional relationships to ensure the achievement of department and business objectives through collaboration and communicationProvide relevant, accurate, and timely financial information to management for decision makingIndependently manage and execute special projects as required with buy in from functional business partners and senior managementBuild and maintain highly effective cross-functional relationships with colleagues to ensure effective communication and value-added working relationships.Perform all other duties as assignedEducation and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; MBA/CPA license preferredFive (5) or more years of related work experience, preferably within manufacturing operationsStrong grasp of US GAAPComputer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
