Calibration/Quality Inspection TechnicianStatus: Non-Exempt (hourly)                                                            Department: Operations QualityPosition SummaryCalibration/Quality Inspection Technician will have the primary responsibility to ensure calibration on a range of equipment including manufacturing instruments, devices, and gauges, and provide additional support performing quality Inspection of manufactured product and components.Major Areas of Responsibility:A Calibration Technician will be expected to perform the following duties:Perform all functions to ensure gage calibration remains in compliance with all requirements, including, but not limited to calibration, traceability, master accuracy, environmental conditions.Contribute to robust product acceptance processes and develop robust calibration processesEnsure measurement equipment and in practice use meets all intended performance and product metrology requirementsResearch, analyze and propose new measurement systems for improved value (accuracy, reliability, efficiency) to businessDevelop new and revised calibration methods, procedures, and training for use in calibration of gagesCommunicate across the production and quality teams on topics related to gage calibration and ensure a positive recall system is in place and remains compliant.Coordinate and manage daily workloads without direction from managerSchedule external calibration of laboratory equipment while ensuring no interruptions in productivity.Identify and utilize appropriate measurement techniquesRead and interpret labs’ scopes of accreditationMaintain calibration standards to internal and external requirements.Inspect manufactured products, purchased samples, materials and parts, control samples, processes, or test data for conformity to blueprints, specifications, and standards.Inspects a variety of units using measuring/inspection instruments (e.g., micrometers, gauges, and calipers) with proper inspection techniques.Make decisions regarding product acceptance per specification and company workmanship criteria.Document inspection activities on appropriate inspection records.Maintain inspection records in an organized manner.Maintain ERP transactions related to Inspection duties MRB process.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Gage Calibration and Quality Inspection.Certified as Calibration Technician (CCT) or Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) strongly preferredUnderstanding of Industry and Quality concepts and standards such as ISO, GMP, and NISTPreferred: plus 2-3 years of quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment.Proficiency with office computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookBasic organizational and time management skillsBasic interpersonal skills to interact with all stakeholdersKnowledge of blueprint reading/Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T)Extensive knowledge in interpretation of calibration standards and best practicesMinimum of 3 years of experience in Gage CalibrationSafetyEmployee Responsibilities:Complying with Company and legal requirements, following safe work practices, and contributing to a positive health and safety culture.Identifying, communicating, and correcting hazards within their ability and authority to protect themselves, co-workers, or other persons at our facilities.Taking positive steps to achieve a state of health consistent with the demands of his/her occupation.                                                                                   Pay Rate:$30.53 - $44.30We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:✓ Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
