Quality Document Administrative SpecialistStatus: Exempt                                               Department: Quality  Position SummaryQuality Document/Admin. Specialist - For Tier 1 supplier/manufacturer of hydrogen fuel cells, hydrogen dispensing units, and hydrogen storage, compression, and flow systems.This manufacturer is seeking a growth candidate with document control and/or quality assurance in an automotive, aerospace, or otherwise like manufacturing environment.Job duties:Review production work orders to confirm product configuration back to customer requirements on purchase order.  Work with Planning and Sales to correct work order configurations as required.Review open Engineering change requests related to all work orders to confirm product requirements on purchase order.  Work with Engineering and Manufacturing to document deviation and align BOM and design document changesConfirm certification requirements for work orders, (IE, CE, CFA, raw material, supplier certificates of conformance). Work will other departments to assure certifications are included with shipping documentation where applicable Inspects manufactured products, purchased samples, materials and parts, control samples, processes, or test data for conformity to blueprints, specifications, and standards.Document product discrepancies per company procedures.Reads, interprets, and utilizes Quality policies, procedures, blueprints, and other documentation.Completes First Article Inspection (FAI) and forms to ensure compliance with requirements.Capable of supporting multiple product lines and/or commodities.Acquire applicable skill/knowledge/certifications and complete trainings as required.Plan and perform internal process audits.Support the preparation of operational procedures and instructions in accordance with ISO 9001, 2015/IATF 16949 requirements.Assist with generating and submitting Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) packages per AIAG guidelinesParticipate in corrective action teams to identify the root cause of a problem and implement effective corrective actions.Lead and participate in quality improvement projects for products and processes.Facilitate training related to quality and develop training material as required.Contributes to a safe, clean, and comfortable work environment by ensuring the principles of the 5S discipline (simplify, separate, sanitize, standardize and support) are supported and adhered to.Support resolution of external Audit resultsSupport continuous improvement activities for safety, quality, and productivity.QualificationsHS diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, plus 1 year of relevant quality experience is required.Knowledge of blueprint reading/Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T) a plusBasic AIAG and related quality system knowledge of ISO 9001, 2015/IATF 16949, and ISO 14001 strongly desired.Able to maintain confidentiality on products, services, and processes.Familiarity with AS9102, First Article Inspection & Final Inspection processes a plusAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionAccuracy and attention to detail is highly importantExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalEffective problem-solving skills and decision-making skillsComputer skills, i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, OutlookAbility to conduct effective training sessionsSafety Employee ResponsibilitiesComplying with Company and legal requirements, following safe work practices, and contributing to a positive health and safety culture.Identifying, communicating, and correcting hazards within their ability and authority to protect themselves, co-workers, or other persons at our facilities.Taking positive steps to achieve a state of health consistent with the demands of his/her occupation.Pay Rate:$52,250.00 - $78,375.00We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:✓ Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
