Position SummaryThe Financial Reporting Sr Analyst handles a variety of primary duties including: assisting in the preparation of both internal and external reporting documents, performing accounting research, helping to implement revised accounting standards compliant with US GAAP and assistance with SOX compliance. This role serves a critical function to the accounting team as a subject matter expert and provides specialized knowledge of the accounting, reporting and compliance obligations affecting publicly traded companies. Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssists in gathering, analyzing and producing internal and external Plug Power financial reportsResponsible for preparing journal entries of certain accountsPlays an active role in the monthly, quarterly and annual consolidation and closing activitiesPartners with external auditors and supports audit requests as a subject matter expert related to Plug Power’s financial reportingMaintains current knowledge of US GAAP; make recommendations for process changes as dictated by these obligationsResearches complex accounting issues and provide guidance on accounting treatmentTakes a lead role in the implementation of revised accounting standards within the organization as neededRepresent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times and in all interactionsPerform other duties as assignedEducation and Experience BS in accounting from accredited university; CPA license preferred3+ years of related financial reporting/public accounting; preferred to have Big 4 Accounting Firm experience Experience working in a publicly traded organization or as an auditor of a publicly traded organization preferredUnderstanding of US GAAP reporting obligations for public companiesDemonstrated track record of implementing enhanced accounting standards and financial reporting systemsComputer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OutlookStrong verbal and written communication skillsUncompromising dedication to qualityDemonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detailAbility to manage complex projects and multi-task effectivelyExcellent follow-throughMust be driven and self-motivatedTeamwork oriented and focusedPay Rate:$62,700.00 - $94,050.00We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:✓Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
