Logistics AnalystStatus: Exempt (salaried) Department: Supply Chain/OperationsPosition SummaryWe are looking for an individual that is experienced with all modes of transportation and both international and domestic shipping. Someone interested and excited to work with clean energy technologies to perform financial modeling and cost projections of our transportation needs of our fuel cell and hydrogen energy system products. The analysis will be used by senior management to drive strategic supply chain decisions.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesEvaluate current technology platforms and develop recommendations for technology to support the role and department.Assist departments with understanding Logistics costs and market conditionsProvide global import/export expertise and analysis for all areas of the company’s operations (including ocean container FCL, LCL, air, and small parcel shipments).Work closely with 3rd party logistics, freight forwarders, customs brokers, trucking companies and others to meet company objectivesAssist with the development, implementation and keeping current standard operating procedures and work instructions to support functional area of responsibility as neededRepresent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times and in all interactions.Perform other duties as assigned.Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business or relevant field of study; will consider experience in lieu of degree requirement.5+ years relevant work history within a Logistics /Supply Chain function; preferably as part of a manufacturing environment. Experience with ERP/MRP systems is a must; Avante / SAP experience preferredFull understanding of 2020 Incoterms requiredStrong leadership skills including daily communications with the team and with internal customersSuperior verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail.Must be driven and self-motivatedProficient computer skills including Microsoft Office suiteStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage complex projects and multi-task effectivelyRole model for high standards of professionalismExcellent follow-through Results-oriented and driven work styleExempt employees are expected to work as many hours as is necessary to complete their job responsibilities.
