Assistant Controller – SEC Reporting Status: Exempt (Salaried)Department: Finance/AccountingPosition SummaryThis Assistant Controller will be a key contributor in supporting the Company with SOX Compliance and SEC Reporting. This will be a cross functional role, responsible for collaborating with various business leaders to assist with design and implementation, of internal controls, that support the company’s continued business strategy around financial reporting as Plug continues to grow globally. The Assistant Controller will also be an active participant in financial statement compilation and review procedures. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, able to handle multiple project assignments and is willing to learn and adapt within a fast-paced, growing organization.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain current knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting obligations and the companies related SOX Compliance responsibilitiesCoach and train business partners on SOX compliance and required documentation, including contributing to Company trainings as neededDesign and implement key controls for various business processes as needed, with the support for the SEC DirectorMaintain understanding of the Company’s internal processes and assist with design of internal controls for future processesAssist in the overall financial statement risk assessment planMaintain and update company’s internal documentation, flowcharts, key control matrices, evidence of control executionAssist with the evaluation of control deficiencies or audit differences in order to understand the impact on the overall SOX frameworkEvaluate third party service organizations control environmentsCollaborate with Internal Audit on the testing of management’s SOX complianceAssist with quarterly and year end financial statement preperation and review of external financial statementsAssist with analytical reviews of financial resultsAssist with evaluation and review of required disclosuresAssist with other SEC compliance related documentation as neededPartner with external auditors and be available in support of audit requests as a subject matter expertBuild and maintain highly effective cross-functional relationships with colleagues to ensure effective communication and value-added working relationships.Perform all other duties as assignedEducation and ExperienceBachelors in finance/accounting from accredited university; CPA license preferred4+ years of related work history, Big 4 Accounting Firm experience highly preferredExperience working in a publicly traded organization, or as an audit partner to a publicly traded organizationStrong grasp of US GAAP and SEC reporting obligations for public companiesExperience with evaluation of design and testing of internal controlsComfortable working with external auditorsExperience working with AuditBoard is a plusComputer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OutlookStrong verbal and written communication skillsUncompromising dedication to qualityDemonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detailAbility to manage complex projects and multi-task effectivelyMust be driven and self-motivatedTeamwork oriented and focused.  Pay Rate:$75,240.00 - $112,860.00We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:✓Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
