ExpeditorStatus: Exempt (Salaried) Position SummaryThe Expeditor reports to the Supply Chain Manager and assists the Buyers with the expediting of Purchase Orders (PO’s). The Expeditor will support the Supply Chain Manager and the Buyers in the development and maintenance of the Procurement Plan. The ideal candidate for this role must be a diligent and thorough task executor who can effectively manage multiple priorities with clarity and focus. The Expeditor role must establish very strong and mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers and internal customers and therefore requires dynamic interpersonal skills. A successful Expeditor will exhibit tenacity in driving issue resolution, timely and accurate transactional work, outstanding cross-functional collaboration, proactive communication skills, continuous improvement mindset, and unwavering follow-up to ensure completion of critical tasks and projects with the ability to use tools given. Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport PO activities related to Purchasing/Supply Chain order fulfillment, execution, and payment functions.Support the Supply Chain Manager and the Buyers in the development and maintenance of the Procurement Plan and the Logistics Plan.Support the Production Manager and Production Leads, as necessary, to expedite equipment orders, vendor documents, and free issued materials (FIM).Support the Production Manager and Production Leads, as necessary, with the Production Plan and Logistics Plan.Support package and project execution with expediting vendor documentation and deliverables.Build and maintain effective cross-functional relationships; Sourcing Personnel, Planners, Suppliers, Materials, Logistics, and Accounts Payable communicating regularly to maintain an understanding of timelines and activities which impact supply chain.Perform transactional duties including daily PO list, both supplier and purchase order (PO) follow-up and expediting.Own and keep current PO Discrepancy, Request for Information reports/databases from a Sourcing perspective.Communicate daily on-time delivery and receipt information, driving reduction in backlog and shortage files, improving stockout status.Work with Supply chain to resolve issues with delivery delays or shortages.Timely escalation of issues as situations dictates.Understand issue root causes and address with appropriate parties for action.Collection and distribution of documentation (Transportation, Customs, A/P) that corresponds with fulfillment.Create work instructions and SOPs for dynamic role as it evolves.Attend Sourcing, Logistics, Material, Planning, and NPI status meetings either on site or via electronic media in a hybrid role across multiple locations.Drive daily what’s hot list, funneling systemic issues to appropriate parties.Identify shortages, PO discrepancies, working with Buyers/Receivers/Suppliers to resolve.Work with Logistics on inbound shipping documentations to ensure accuracyIdentify and follow-up on continuous improvement opportunities.Monitor and coordinate QCR resolution with Sourcing, Quality, Engineering, and integrated supply chain.Travel to local suppliers, warehouse locations as necessary to expedite parts delivery.Compile, and publish routine, relevant performance, and delivery metrics.Always represent Plug Power in a professional manner and in all interactions.Perform all other duties as assigned.Education and ExperienceAssociate degree in supply chain management, business, or relevant field of study; will consider experience in lieu of degree requirement.2-4 years or more of Purchasing, Logistics, Materials, or related experience; experience within Supply Chain setting is highly preferred.Must be capable of working independently, in a fast-paced environment, with minimal supervisionDemonstrated problem solving, issue resolution, analytical abilities with strong attention to detail.Superior communication skillsProficient with Microsoft Office software including highly developed skills within ExcelAbility to manage projects and multi-task effectivelyAbility to role model high standards of professionalismExcellent follow-through Must be driven and self-motivatedMust possess the highest ethical standards and a supreme commitment to qualityPay Rate:$52,250.00 - $78,375.00We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:Base salary is determined on a number of factors including, but not limited to education, experience, skills and geography.
