Copy ManagerStatus: Exempt (Salaried) Department: Marketing Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Senior Director of Marketing Communications, you will be working closely with our entire Marketing Department on copy needs. In this fast-paced and diverse role you will be responsible for ensuring consistency and accuracy in all Plug copy, and to ensure it follows our brand voice. You will be the gatekeeper for all company copy and creating editing or outsourcing copy for use across all channels. This includes product marketing, communications, social media, investor relations, human resources, and government relations. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, able to handle multiple project assignments and willing to learn and adapt within a fast-paced, growing organization.Deliver clean, sharp creative messaging and compelling copy for diverse productsMaintain a content whiteboard that includes all copy requests and its associated graphics and visualsCoordinate prioritize and content requestsWork closely with product marketing to develop copy, including product literature, marketing campaigns, video scripts, sales emails and adsWork closely with the marketing communications team to develop or edit copy, including press releases, executive statements, executive presentations, executive speeches, op-eds, blogs and trade show contentManage the company social media calendar and work closely with Plug’s outside agency to promote company announcements, events and productsManage the translations agency to ensure all necessary materials are translated into multiple languagesReview work performed by outside agencies to ensure adherence to brand guidelinesManage outside freelance writersBuild and maintain highly effective cross-functional relationships with colleagues to ensure effective communication and value-added working relationships.Perform all other duties as assignedEducation and ExperienceSix (6) to Ten (10) years of experience in copywriting in the energy industryLeadership experience preferredBachelors Degree in English, journalism, marketing or other related field.Experience with copy supporting content strategy, web, digital, social and other campaign channelsWell-versed in AP StyleExceptional verbal and written communication skillsAbility to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with co-workers, staff and external contractors/auditors, and to work effectively in a professional team environmentUncompromising dedication to qualityDemonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detailAbility to manage complex projects and multi-task effectivelyMust be driven and self-motivatedTeamwork oriented and focused.
