IT Analytics EngineerStatus: Exempt (salaried)                                                   Department: Information TechnologyPosition SummaryCombining a commitment to excellence and innovation with curiosity and a passion for using data to develop insights and drive strategic change, the IT Analytics Engineer is a core member of Plug Power’s IT Business Intelligence team. The ideal candidate will join the organization in revolutionizing the Green Hydrogen economy by collaborating with stakeholders across the business to help design, implement and maintain the end-to-end business intelligence solutions. Alongside our data scientists, data engineers, and data analysts throughout the business, the Analytics Engineer is focused on building a data centric environment, optimizing data and the user experience, and continuously improving the quality and availability of one of Plug’s most strategic assets: data.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesUse industry standards and best practices to bring data to life by enabling technical solutions capable of generating advanced, high quality data visualizations and reports that are built upon standardized metrics and KPIsCollaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to create, aggregate, organize, optimize, and deploy the data models and data sets needed to help deliver more performant products and services, aligning with the overall data and business intelligence strategyWork with other data team members to design, develop, deploy and maintain an optimized enterprise data warehouse solutionEmpower users by developing robust documentation and training materials that make self-service analytics more widely available and serving as the primary IT point of contact for BI solution supportOwn the administration of the current enterprise data visualization solutionPrepare and present usage reports for IT leadership to help determine how to best allocate data visualization solution resourcesAlign with other IT and data teams to ensure adherence to data management and data governance requirementsRecognize potential issues and risks during analytics project implementations and suggest realistic mitigation strategiesEducation and ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field or 2-5 years of experience in a similar roleStrong SQL knowledge with experience working with technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, SQL Server, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift, MySQL etc.Experience in Python, R, Scala and other languages preferredAdvanced experience working with visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, etc.Experience with cloud-based environments is highly desiredStrong critical and analytical thinking and problem-solving skillsEnthusiastic learner, curious, and driven to succeedA strong communicator with experience interacting with clients/customers preferredA desire to completely understand the product and become a subject matter expert, as is necessary in order to properly support the platformStrong project management and organizational skills.Pay Rate:$62,700.00 - $94,050.00We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:✓Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
