Accounting LeadStatus: Exempt (salaried)                                                                    Department: Finance/AccountingPosition SummaryPlug Energy is looking for a division accounting lead.  This position will be the lead interface for the electrolyzer division and the parent company corporate accounting group on all accounting matters.  The accounting lead will be well versed in accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls. The position is a key role in ensuring the fiscal health of business activities while positioning the Company for the achievement of financial targets and strategic goals. This position will be tasked with maintaining a sound financial reporting control structure through the development of systems and procedures, supporting technical accounting conclusions, and performance of analytics.  There will be significant interaction with external audit, internal audit, corporate controllership, operational finance and business operations across manufacturing and engineering globally.   Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelopment of accounting policies and manuals to create standards for staff to follow, including adoption of new accounting standardsExperience with revenue recognition (ASC 606) including providing guidance to commercial teams & management on accounting treatmentLead the preparation of financial statement footnotes relating to division revenueAct as a key reviewer in the division financial close processSupport the accounting integration of current and future acquisitionsAssist in the Company’s SOX program, including documentation, testing, performing risk assessments, and making ongoing recommendations for internal control process changesDrive implementation of internal control process and system changes; communicate and train stakeholders internally and be available as an ongoing subject matter expertAssist in development and implementation of new procedures and systems to enhance the workflow of the departmentClosely partner with the sales and operations team to provide financial linkage between deals sold and final executional resultsBuild and maintain highly effective cross-functional relationships with colleagues to ensure effective communication and value-added working relationshipsProvide insights to senior management around financial modeling, forecasts, and profitabilityProvide support with coordinating the monthly external/internal financial and operational reporting activities of the CompanyServe as lead contact with external auditors regarding division topicsPrepare and provide ad hoc reporting and analysis requested by Executive management and department leaders as needed to support the businessRepresent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times and in all interactionsPerform all other duties as assignedEducation and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA requiredThree (3) or more years of public accounting experience; Big 4 preferredTwo (2) or more additional years of experience within a manufacturing or construction company preferred  Uncompromising dedication to customer service excellenceDemonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detailSuperior communication skillsProficient with Microsoft Office software, particularly ExcelProficiency in navigating ERP systemsAbility to manage complex projects and multi-task effectivelyAbility to role model high standards of professionalismExcellent follow-through Must be driven and self-motivatedMust possess the highest ethical standards and a commitment to work qualityPay Rate:$75,240.00 - $112,860.00We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:✓Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
