Sr. Project ManagerPosition SummaryThe Project Manager, Hydrogen Efficiency will support the development and execution of projects that optimize the storage and compression of hydrogen. Project scopes may vary from internal design/manufacturing to industrial scale plant deployments. The role resides in the engineering organization and requires close interaction with external vendors as well as internal supply chain, manufacturing, construction, and service teams to ensure projects are smoothly executed with cross functional stakeholders. This manager will maintain project schedules and budgets, as well as regularly meet with team members to review project status, prioritize activities, and plan future actions. This position shall play a key role in sharing knowledge, working through barriers, and expediting field results. The ideal candidate should exhibit both exceptional communication and project management skills along with a technical background. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, able to handle multiple project assignments, and willing to learn and adapt within a fast-paced engineering organization. Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport process or product enhancements through the development and implementation efforts including requirements development, technical design, vendor/subcontractor work, manufacturing/assembly, validation, and product release stagesHold cross functional design reviews throughout the development processCoordinate prototype testing to qualify new designsCreate and maintain multiple complex schedules and budgets; setting priorities for internal engineering, supply chain, construction, and service members as well as external vendorsAdvise Company management of the program statuses on a regular basisCoordinate the efforts of the engineering, supply chain, construction, and service departments to ensure projects have constant momentum and support from all stakeholdersIndependently anticipate potential schedule delays and initiate plans for alternative actions as needed; able to rearrange competing priorities to ensure all deadlines are metCross-functionally communicate between departments to ensure all parties involved are informed and up to date on project changes and delaysWork professionally and cooperatively in a cross-functional team environment with a focus upon maximizing system performance and customer satisfactionRepresent Plug Power in a professional manner in all interactionsPerform all other duties as assigned Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field of studyPMP certification strongly preferred Supervisory experience strongly preferredMinimum of three (3) years of project management experience in product developmentExperience in any of the following is preferred and highly valued:Hydrogen and/or fuel cellsCryogenic IndustryHigh Pressure Systems (350 Bar and up)Gas processing and/or dispensing equipmentOil and Gas, CNG, LNG, etc.Experience in a construction or service environment preferredAbility to travel occasionally, up to 10% of the timeComputer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project and OutlookStrong verbal and written communication skillsExceptional organizational skillsDynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and stakeholdersUncompromising dedication to quality and safety Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detailAbility to manage complex projects and multi-task effectivelyAbility to role model high standards of professionalismExcellent follow-throughMust be driven and self-motivatedPay Rate:$86,815.00 - $138,904.00We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:✓ Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
