We deliver low latent services built to withstand high throughput usage patterns on the platform.What you will be doing:Implementing Kafka-related libraries, tooling, and automation that supports the Kafka clusters used by all services in Genesys Cloud.Working directly with other teams in Genesys Cloud on Kafka-related implementations and solutionsImplementing high-throughput event streaming microservices in JavaReviewing AVRO schemasRequired skills:Experience developing event-driven microservices using Java 8+ and Spring.Experience building applications on Amazon Web ServicesExperience with CI/CD and DevOps tooling: Jenkins, Git, DockerUndergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experienceNice to have:Experience with performance tuning RHEL-based Linux distributionsExperience working with ZooKeeper and implementing solutions using Apache CuratorExperience using Burrow or Cruise ControlExperience with Infrastructure as code using Terraform and/or AnsibleKnowledge of Python or Go programming languagesExperience with Amazon Kinesis or MSKExperience writing serverless code using Python or Java and AWS LambdaTechnologies we use and practices we hold dear:Right tool for the right job over we-always-did-it-this-wayWe pick the language and frameworks best suited for specific problems.
