Your potential is waiting; why are you?Job DescriptionSummary:The Genesys Insights team provides data, analytics and machine learning products and infrastructure that powers all the company’s product and business processes. We own the technology and the data quality, ensuring that the products we deliver to our internal customers are of the highest quality and enable high velocity, high quality, data-based decision making. Our platforms are entirely cloud based!The Genesys Insights team is seeking an experienced Scrum Master with technical and business acumen, who can collaborate on the next generation of data products for Genesys’ internal customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing multiple Scrum teams as well as experience working with product owners and a variety of stakeholder groups. This position requires the ability to balance thought leadership, implementation know-how and team facilitation. Further, this role includes coaching and leading the teams you work with through an Agile transformation; assisting everyone involved with understanding the core principles of Agile, adopting the Scrum best practices and generally exploring new ways of working. You will write user stories that effectively communicate the requirements and that are easily consumed by engineers. Scrum Masters handle issues and mitigating risks, facilitating and attending meetings, as well as providing project status reporting to management. Key Responsibilities:•    End-to-end ownership of scope/priorities, schedule, budget, risks and issue management and overall progress against project requirements for Genesys’ Analytics projects, managing all scrum team activities to deliver on committed deliverables.•    Optimize the flow of value through the teams, facilitate the prioritization of all work ensuring alignment to the strategic roadmap & manage the program backlog that feeds work to the teams.•    Facilitate standard scrum ceremonies such as backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, retrospectives, and business demos.•    Proactively work with management to set team priorities and plan schedule based on scrum capacity and velocity.•    Remove impediments to the team’s ability to perform, using direct and influencing skills.•    Use a servant leadership style to support the team by responding to issues and minimizing external distractions which disrupt the team.•    Serve as a liaison between the team members and other teams or third-party vendors.•    Develop, capture, and analyze metrics to facilitate team improvements.•    Mentor team members in agile and scrum methodologies, promoting best practices and driving continuous improvement.•    Foster team responsibility, self-accountability, transparency, and self-organization. Minimum Requirements:•    Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education.•    5+ years working experience as a dedicated Scrum Master in an agile environment•    Excellent knowledge of Agile methodologies to ensure scrum best practices are followed.•    Experience with public cloud technologies and frameworks for data management and machine learning.•    Established success in areas of impact for influence, cross group collaboration, and focus on positive outcomes.•    Proven sense of high accountability and self-drive to take on and see-through big challenges.•    Must be a self-starter, organized and detail oriented with competent problem-solving skills.•    Proven success in collaborating across engineering, business, data analytics, data science, and operational teams, up to and including working with VP level stakeholders.•    Proven success in working in matrixed organizations.•    Flexible written and presentation communication that can provide clarity to audiences that include customers, peers, and other leadership.•    Ability to quickly learn existing concepts and employ new techniques.•    Ability to understand and motivate teams to deliver their commitment on time.•    Experience using backlog management tools, including all reporting functionality.•    Experience with Atlassian products, especially JIRA and Confluence.  Experience creating JIRA Scrum boards and dashboards.  Experience with ServiceNow tool a plus! Desirable Skills:•    Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Certification, or PPM certification.•    10+ years combined experience in: Agile Project or Program Management, Product Management, Data Platform, Data Science, Software Development, technical/engineering role(s).•    BA/BS or Master’s Degree in data science, information system, economics, statistics, machine learning or related discipline.•    Prior experience working with business or consumer-facing, geographically distributed teams. About Us:Genesys® powers more than 25 billion of the world’s best customer experiences each year.
