As a Technical Lead Engineer, you will partner with business partners and product teams to analyze current state needs and challenges, be fluent across the entire finance technology stack, design, architect, develop, and support operational responsibility for the finance techstack and drive technical priorities. The role requires taking ownership of the architecture and design of critical cloud-based business applications related to Genesys Finance and Accounting domain.What this role isn’t:This isn’t a role where you are expected to lead a team, but you are expected to lead technical decisions across multiple stakeholders. You will need to jump in and quickly make strategic, actionable, and measurable recommendations.Key Responsibilities:In this role, you will need to bring your knowledge and experience delivering finance cloud-based solutions. You will also lead conversations, consult with teams, and use your knowledge to align the various stakeholders. You will be able to bring in off-the-shelf technologies and work with internal teams to develop customs systems. This role requires both technical skills and interpersonal skills to be successful. Own the overall solution and system architecture for entire finance tech-stack. Collaborate with product management and business leadership to ensure a balance between short- and long-term goals for financial systems and create current state and target state architectural context diagrams that explain how the finance tech stack functions, integrates, and operates using modern engineering patterns and enterprise standardsAssess current state solution architecture, and deliver designs for interim and target state financial systems roadmap (ERP, Revenue Recognition, tax, etc.) that meets the business scale needsManage finance tech-stack as a platform; ensure the engineering and technical considerations are accounted for in team rituals. Facilitates estimation of costs and effort of work items.Leads the technical design of the platform and ensures that the prescribed architecture, security, SOX compliance, development best practices, and agile best practices are adhered toEnsures that the delivery team commits to achievable and realistic goals and includes the entire team in the estimation/planning process to obtain diverse perspectivesDraft and review technical designs, integration standards, testing plans, and other financial systems architecture/engineering-related documentation.May sometimes provide hands-on assistance with exceptionally complex technical solutions, operating as a senior engineer.Leads the development of crucial mechanisms that support agile deliveryRequirements:12+ years of experience in leading design, delivery, and operation of cloud-native systems (both internally developed software capabilities and SaaS/externally managed packages)5+ Years of experience on application architecture for finance systemsIn-depth knowledge of front-end technologies and a demonstrated proficiency in adopting modern patterns (API-first designs, Pub/Sub, etc.) and emerging technologies.Extensive hands-on experience with the underlying technologies of SaaS products & platforms (applications, databases, real-time integration, etc.)Strong understanding of Scrum, Lean, XP, Kanban, or other agile development techniquesStrong understanding of micro services and API based application integrations across various SaaS applicationsFluency in DevOps, including continuous integration, continuous deployment/delivery, configuration and containerization, infrastructure as a code, and monitoringStrong concepts of performance optimizations and best practices for financial systems and architecture. Working with a multi-entity global NetSuite instance in fast-paced, SaaS/cloud /subscriptions/ enterprise B2B technology companies.
