Your potential is waiting; why are you?Location: Remote, USAbout the Role: The Director of Enterprise Data Governance and Enablement will help lead the visionary work and strategic planning for driving the company’s transformation of data capabilities. As a leader in the Enterprise Data & Analytics team, you’ll ensure data is defined and cataloged, change is managed, and business outcomes are delivered cross-functionally. We expect this person to work collaboratively in defining the strategy for data creation, manipulation, and utilization while operationalizing governance, keeping in mind the business need for enhanced automation and insights.  This role includes direct reporting lines requiring leadership. The team consists of data strategists and analysts with a history of developing relationships cross functionally to understand the needs of their business and ensure accurate and timely delivery of business capabilities as facilitated by the governance process. Your team will serve as the advocate for best-in-class data management practices in support of our long-term corporate growth strategy.  What this role isn’t: This role is not one that is purely consultative. While a collaborative approach to business partners and IT practitioners is crucial, translating those collaborations into a product-oriented delivery of strategic governance capabilities is how this team delivers value. A successful leader in this role understands how to take ambiguous and often disconnected inputs from varying stakeholders and formulate a strategy, communication plan, and a roadmap for delivery of governance capabilities that demonstrates how business value is realized. Success in this role is also not measured purely by governance outputs, but rather their impact on the overall delivery of business capabilities and value. What you’ll bring to the table: A successful leader in this role brings a servant leadership perspective and intuitively understands how to communicate with teammates, partners, and extended stakeholders with a tailored narrative that accomplishes the outcome. This person also has demonstrated experience in designing, deploying, and operating a strategic data governance program that leverages those communication skills.  Some details about what you’ll do: Join forces with business partners, peer IT teams, and leadership stakeholders to identify, define, document, and operationalize data standards across multiple business processes and systems to drive clean, usable data that powers business outcomes Coalesce, document, socialize, and operationalize an enterprise data governance program that creates business agility, transparency, and enablement of data to power insights and automated actions Own the change management strategy for data and incorporate it into enterprise governance frameworks Organize and build a team of high performing analysts and strategists that own business relationships and align data strategy to outcome delivery Partner with information security, engineering leaders, and business consumers to design and implement data security, access controls, and regulatory compliance with change management Requirements: 8 plus years of leadership experience in data strategy and governance Successful delivery and operation of a data governance framework that was adopted and operationalized Strong business acumen, relationship building, and superlative communication skills that can tailor messaging for difference audiences, breaking down complex topics and issues into business language that resonates and drives outcomes Demonstrated leadership skills that empower product-oriented delivery teams Experience with business architecture principles and how they apply to driving strategic business goals Thrives when challenged; able to back up viewpoints with facts and achieve compromise Familiarity with cloud-native applications, deployment patterns, and operations #LI-RemoteCompensation:This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
