This unique position requires designing quality tests, developing documentation, and test procedures, keeping track of quality standards, and specifying the requirements a test result must satisfy. As a Quality Engineer, you will review existing processes to identify opportunities for reducing costs and increasing efficiency. As necessary, you will investigate the root causes of problems and develop and implement corrective and preventative measures.The development of quality practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and pertinent documentation. They set out the relevant tests and acceptable findings to ensure adequate quality testing throughout the build. They analyze complaints received through customer feedback, keep track of events, and request changes as necessary. Additionally, the quality engineer must thoroughly document any errors and collaborate with other developers to identify a fix.What this role isn’t:This isn’t a role where you are expected to have responsibility for the design of the product or solution but must work with the developers and product owner to optimize the design. This is a team position, and you are not solely responsible for ensuring the optional solution but aid in ensuring they are easier to maintain and can be more reliable.What you’ll bring to the table:In this role, you will need to bring your knowledge and experience to collaborate with various stakeholders, such as testing by design teams, to determine product robustness and weak points.
