We are looking for a Senior Software Developer that has a strong interest in cloud software development and a propensity for solving problems.As a Senior Software Developer within the Media Technologies Group Operations Team, you will join a team focusing on the development and delivery of business-critical services in a global deployment. At Genesys we know the importance of having fun on this journey and promote a strong collaborative team culture with hackathons, weekly casual tech talks, and team events.Major Responsibilities/Activities:Build and deploy highly available, fault-tolerant software that will help drive improvements towards the features, reliability, performance, and deployment of the Genesys Cloud CX platform.Work with development partners to shape the architecture, design, and implementations of new and existing systems to enhance their reliability, performance, efficiency, and scalability.Design and implement major changes and new featuresIdentify bottlenecks and problems throughout the infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.Actively review code, mentor junior development staff, and provide peer feedback.Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and resolve pain points as well as evangelize best practices.Troubleshoot production issues and come up with solutions as required.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related work experience.4+ years software development experience.Experience developing applications using Go, Python, C++, or other high level programming languages.Experience developing, managing, and working with CI/CD pipelines.Understanding of Linux, Linux kernel, and networking concepts.Experience with cloud technologies a plus.Ability to rapidly learn new software, frameworks, open-source tools, and development languages.Nice to have:Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, SQS, SNS, etc.)Git/BitbucketJenkinsAnsibleTerraformCmake or other cross-platform build automation, packaging, and installation toolsAbout Genesys:Every year, Genesys orchestrates billions of remarkable customer experiences for organizations in more than 100 countries.
