What this role is: As a Software Developer in Test, you will design test strategies for new features developed for our ever-growing Genesys Cloud Platform. You will be contributing to the testing effort as a member of a cross-functional team including Product Management, Development, UX, and Documentation. Responsibilities include understanding the architecture and design decisions, defining, and implementing new tests, evaluating the end-user experience, and asserting the overall quality of the feature. You will work independently on features to assess the scope of testing, implement automated system-level tests, and maintain a CI pipeline by triaging and optimizing tests. What you’ll bring to the table: We are looking for someone technically strong and also a skilled communicator.You will design, develop, and manage automation testing to ensure the outstanding quality of a new generation of world-class cloud applications. You’ll coordinate with talented peers to identify risks and design test solutions to mitigate them. After learning about our product and process, you will contribute code to a shared automated testing project that includes tests executed daily and in multiple deployment pipelines.Key Responsibilities:Provide Testing and Automation Strategy for newly developed Features.Develop test plans, test environments, and test scenarios for new product featuresDevelop and execute automated and manual tests.Triaging failed automated test executions and report defects when appropriate.Maintain automated test jobs in an automated deployment pipelineCoordinate bug hunts to gather user feedback for new featuresConduct Code and Test Plan review to ensure the quality of Test Cases their coverage & Automation CodeWork in an agile team along with developersIdentify QA Risk and Mitigation Plans and ensure product delivery as per the release timeline. Minimum Requirements:Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related degree or equivalent in work.Should have 1+ years of IT experience in software test automationStrong analytical skillsExcellent verbal and written communication in EnglishShould be a good team player who enjoys collaborating with othersPossess the ability to work independentlyQuick learner with excellent problem-solving skillsRequired Skills:Experience with OOP programming languages such as Java.Experience with Selenium or other UI frameworkExperience with TestNG framework or similar testing frameworkKnowledge of agile testing methodologies and best practices for continuous delivery (CD) – will be an advantage.Desirable Skills:Knowledge in REST API automationExperience in AWS toolsExperience with any performance testing toolExperience with Git/Git Hub or other version control toolsKnowledge in Build tools such as Maven or Gradle#LI-DM2#LI-HybridAbout Genesys:Every year, Genesys orchestrates billions of remarkable customer experiences for organizations in more than 100 countries.
